Yeah, i just think he isn't confident enough with the ball. He needs more training. Especially on his shooting and more on passing

I don't think it's lack of confidence, I simply think it's lack of ability. Couldn't hit a barn door with a bazooka that lad.

Slow in spotting things too- a bit thick? He is a local lad after all  :D

i think you're all mad!

He's scored a cracking goal against Wycombe and also banged in a couple against Crawley in pre-season, both of which were sweet as a nut. He's got a damn good shot on him but sometimes I think he suffers from a problem that most of our players do, they don't have the confidence to shoot. However, if only he had passed it to Fallon on Saturday...

I understand some of the criticism he gets but I honestly think he's been one of our best players this season, fair enough he's had a couple of poor games but youngsters will never be totally consistent. The lad works hard, gets stuck in, puts himself about, wins the ball and generally uses it pretty well. Bit prone to getting caught in no-man's land but I'd chalk that down to a lack of experience.

what mr. youth said.

We've had much worse performers....much worse

I think Pook has been a great addition to the squad.

i dont usually mind him too much, but he really got on my nerves on Saturday. He cost us the chance of securing 3 points.

Interestingly, after the final whistle, Roberts looked to be telling him exactly what he thought of his inability to pass the ball

Probably giving him lessons as he is a past master. Did it again at Brentford. Shot weakly wide from outside the area when he should have passed inside to any of three running in space. Bouazza did it too.

he's a young lad & i'm sure he'll learn from it. pooky's done ok this season & i'd rather see him in centre midfield than hewlett.

His passing does let him down, but he ain't the only one. The other parts of his game are fine and with confidence and experience he could score a lot of goals.

I actually think Pook's alright.  I know he's not the silkiest but he does the simple things well, no fuss.  And I actually think his shot's not bad.  Got a decent goal against Wycombe and a fair few in pre-season as well (albeit against Bideford, etc) but at least he's got the confidence to whack a few now and again.  I think he's the bloke that works his little socks off and keeps it nice and simple and consequently doesn't get noticed.

We don't need mistakes where we are, he needs to be a bit more better. I don't know why Iffy doesn't make him work in training for it.

I'm sure he does.  Pook probably puts more effort than most into training.

pook is the future of this club, he is very young, swindonian and just starting out on a hopefully long career, he will improve and the basics are there. i think he potentially is one of the best players we have had  for years.

Agreed Mex, it still doesn't stop it being well annoying when he forgets to pass at the vital moment.  With a sense of urgency and a bit more pace he'd be very useful, it'll all come with time, I hope...
