Title: grumble grumble
Post by: sonicyouth on Friday, October 7, 2005, 23:25:09
I'm bored and I've just watched the entire first series of Spaced.

I feel like shite.

Same here, I need to get absolutely wasted very soon or I'll go absolutely mad.

Do you like that Spaced?

Thought it was ok but a bit overrated

I'm too poor to do anything, I keep getting overdrawn because of silly bank charges. In the meantime I'm pretending it's not really happening.

Spaced is alright, quite amusing but nothing special. It was like a really long version of Shaun of the Dead without zombies (bar one episode).

Have you not got a student bank account yet?

You should be entitled to an interest free overdraft, which they'll normally throw a grands worth at you in your first year of study.  Worth checking out as Natwest in particular are so slack at changing it back to a current account I had mine for over 6+ years.

All my pennies at the moment are paying off debts and saving for furniture so beer is not a priority.  Going mad with boredom at weekends mind.

Wasn't a massive fan of Shaun of the Dead either.  Black Books is top of my list at the moment.

I've got a current account with a £100 o/d limit, but I've not seen my account anywhere near the £0 mark for a few months. It's probably not wise giving me an overdraft limit of a grand, I'd blow it in the space of two weeks easily. I'm awful with money.

Same here but it's still worth transferring over you’ll find the bank cut you a lot more slack over charges etc.

Mind you if your planning to head off to Uni after your current course I’d hold fire on the overdraft until a later date.

Get a loan and then never pay it back.  I did that, but then they shafted me on everything else, so I couldn't give a fuck.

I did that too.(not a student loan though)

It falls off your credit score after 10 years anyway so its a win win situation.

I can't get credit anyway because I'm self-employed and I don't keep my accounts well enough.

I didn't have to pay fees, but they stole my grant.  Fair enough in some ways, although I lost out more than the rich kids when it came down to it.  And it's not as if I use my degree :soapy tit wank:   I'm a scumbag :smile1:

I have 2 bank accounts with HSBC. Wages are payed into my current account by Royal Mail, then i have a standing order every friday to my mum for my keep.

I also have a standing order into my other account each friday which is my 'outgoings' account. I have all my outgoings took from this then whatever is left in my current account is my money to do what i like with!

Good system to stop yourself getting in debt.
