I've also had a lot on my mind in past few weeks which has meant i haven't had much chance to continue (see thread in gen disc called yesterday). i'm back in hospital next week and all things going well that will be the end of it but i honestly don't know whats going to happen. But... as I've said before, content is the issue. To maintain and update a site with all the stuff the TEF members would be expecting is a hefty, time consuming (and unpaid) job. My original master plan was to have all of the updated front page content just streamed straight from the Forum. Admin could just whack in the days news in the relevant section, sort a short summary on the front page with the story being linked to the thread in the forum. You can then go pretty much the same way with similar content. Just an idea but I’d mirror pretty much the breakdown of the forum. Match Day Action/Reports News (Covering players, management and other football stuff) Stadium Re-development News/Opinions Away Travel Columns (Smeeton’s view from the Watchtower?) Letter/Rant Official Poll Each section on the front page could be updated as and when required. Stick in the obligatory ‘About’ section perhaps with some standard info such as ground location, getting there, history, who’s who for visiting away fans and your laughing. Nice touch again would be to do what the adver do and have the last five most recent forum topics linked to the front page. And if anyone can get the active topics to sort into order by Forum Section then date/time (see adver) then I’ll perform an ejaculation into my own mouth. |
