Title: FIFA 06 Post by: Leggett on Monday, October 3, 2005, 13:55:47 yea shakes and ifil are white. its kinda buggy, it suffers from slow-down quite alot, and other little annoying bits. played swindon vs tranmere, they shot wide and the players ran off as if the scored, replay showed the ball a good 3 feet wide of the post but it was a goal. still beat em 4-1 :P
its ok, but yea, i expect pro evo to destroy this game. the shooting on fifa06 is random as fuck, i try to pick out the bottom corners and it flies wide, or goes straight to the keeper. score from crosses 7 times out of 10. :-))( Title: FIFA 06 Post by: walrus on Monday, October 3, 2005, 14:07:58 I've bought Fifa 06 and played it on a mate's Xbox - mine's at uni - and really enjoyed it. It was an improvement on 2005. Pro Evo has never really convinced me, with the graphics of Pro Evo 4 being decidedly average and looking a little dated.
The gameplay is okay on both, with both games suffering issues in different areas. The licensing problems on PES4 fuck me off, and to be honest I'm not overly bothered about the research of lower leagues, although it was funny to see Miglioranzi with bright blonde flowing locks. I dont think you've ever played Pro Evo Soccer cos no normal person would put the gameplay in the same catagory as Fifa!, Fifa has been shite for years and PES has got better and better. I played in a tournament at one of my adopted local pubs and got walloped to begin with (I was a shit team, can't remember who but someone like Villareal...) and could never get my head round it. Went round a mate's house who has both and he says something similar - I do not understand why people rave about the gameplay. Perhaps it's my inability to play computer games, but with PES4 I never felt in control, and did have a hell of a lot of practice to see if I could win the tournament. I ended up finishing 13th out of 32, although about 10 dropped out, so I didn't do too badly!! And im gonna play it every day till PES5 is released. Best game ever - every time its released (with the exception of swos)
