Jenkins Collins Ifil Smith

Think it will tighten up our midfield a bit by having that selection

Don't forget we're away from home so King will probably play 4-5-1

It's just his way of throwing a match.

I'd go:

Code:

                   Heaton

Jenkins   Gurney     Ifil    Smith

Roberts    Pook    Migzy     Nicholau

           Fallon       Thorpedo

Subs:
Bulman
Collins
Whalley
Cureton
Heath

We're in the shit at the moment, but I'd be reluctant to use loan players as we need to look to ahead in the season if we're gonna finish up anywhere decent this season.  Get Jenkins, Roberts and Nicholau some fucking playing time, and get Gurney on the pitch as he's the only one with a chance of staying permanently (here's hoping).

I'm bemused why people put Collins in the middle - he's a very ordinary defender and not ours.  Surely King would be better off playing Cumming-Plank...   Thorpe MUST start on Saturday, after a tremendous, inspiring display against Southend.

Good point - swop Heath for Shakes, although it's marginal.  After a good showing as a sub vs. Oldham I've yet to be truly impressed by Shakes - fancy skills, but little end product.  A poor man's Cristiano Ronaldo!

also against forest he came on and played very well, missed an absolute sitter aswell. I'd maybe try a half with heath up front, then the other half with thorpe.

Lets go for something different:

Heath

Jenkins----Collins----Comyn-platt-----Smith

             pook---------Migz

Heath-----------------------------------Roberts

             Fallon---------Thorpe

4-2-4! All out attack!!

I'd go for:

Gk:Heaton
Df:Jenks, Ifil, O'Hanlon, Smith
Mf:Roberts, Pook, Migz, Nicolau
At:Fallon, Thorpe
Subs:Bulman, Heath, Shakes, Gurney, Whalley/Cureton(both as bad as each other tbh)

However, i think King will go for this:

Gk:Heaton
Df:Gurney, Collins, Ifil, O'Hanlon, Smith
Mf:Pook, Migz, Whalley, Nicolau
At:Fallon
Subs:Bulman, Thorpe, Shakes, Cureton, Roberts

The subs are debatable, could have had Heath or Comyn-Platt in there, i think King will leave more attacking options on the bench, and start with a 5-4-1. Might be a 4-1-4-1 though, with Gurney being pushed into the defensive midfielder role (a recipe for a red card?)

Surely cannot leave Fallon alone up front, so add Thorpe.

Cannot afford the luxury of lightweights with little impact, so no Shakes or Nicholau.

Need to get wide and behind them and put in crosses but need to stop their wing attacks, so use Gurney and Smith as wingbacks.

....................Heaton....................
..............Jenks Ifil Collins ............
Gurney..............................Smith
............Migz Pook Whalley.............
................Thorpe Fallon................
