A propos of nothing, Will Wright's worst performance for us I thought

I thought it was a good attacking performance from him, acknowledging that isn't his day job!

Probably fair to say that Ollie Clarke's stock rose significantly tonight.

I agree that Wright struggled tonight

I thought that Kilkenny was poor in the first half and only came into the game after about 60 mins

I don't think I could pick one tonight.

Our 'style' makes it difficult.

Ripley was solid. Couldn't do much about the goals
Wright struggled
Delaney made a massive mistake for their second
McGregor was roasted most of the time (but improved in 2nd half especially when upfield)
Freckleton was roasted by Longelo
Kilkenny struggled first half but was better second
Ofoborh had more impact in the second, when he and Kilkenny moved forward
Cotterill had a forgettable game
Tshimanga kept falling over swinging his leg at the ball
Smith ran all night and won lots in the air again
Nichols disappeared for me after he scored. He does lots of walking around I noticed.

Subs:
Sobowale mixed the sublime with the ridiculous
Gladzel good control and misdirected shot for the second goal
Westley ran around to little effect
Ameen looked confident but couldn't unlock anything
Butterworth looked good in parts

Second game in a row where I have given it to Oforborh mainly due to the fact he always seems to be involved for the whole ninety minutes. The same can be said about Smith who was a close second, manhandled throughout and often missed by the very average ref..

Gone for Smith purely because none of the above doesn't seem right in this situation and he was probably the one who worked hardest.
 It felt like a game that just didn't work today. Not a single good performance but even with several poor performance once we changed shape to match them we seemed pretty much in control.

There were just so many odd decisions when it came to passes, players slipping all over the place so you'd think they were on an ice rink, air kicks galore and the ball just pinging off here there and everywhere whenever blocks and tackles were made.

Smith edges offy and kilkenny

I went for Kilkenny but it was a struggle. Not really sure any of the defenders did well tonight though McGregor improved in the second half.  

Not able to vote on this as I only managed to watch about 15 to 20 mins in total, nothing stood out for me.

Another game where I've struggled to pick a man of the match. Under Holloway, in general we seem to be a team of solid sixes, with a smattering or sevens, where previously someone would stick out amongst some under par scores. I've gone for nobody based on that, not because it was bad, just that I can't really pick anyone out of the row of solid performances.
