And no, you can't vote for McGoldrick. Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 14:25:05 Bycroft.
Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 14:25:30 Drinan for his effort.
Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Ƭ̵̬̊: The Artist Formerly Known as CWIG on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 14:26:49 Drinan, Wright and Delaney were all ok I thought. Kirkman looked inexperienced for the first time but wasn't close to the worse player on the pitch. Sobowale had a stinker. Cotterill and Butterworth were poor too.
Bycroft made a few good saves after he came on, clean sheet from him. Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 14:27:44 Drinan for his effort. That's fair. Absolutely awful in both boxes. Their keeper could have spent the afternoon eating chicken wings in hooters with Batch today. And Bycroft did himself a couple of favours
Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: oxonrobin on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 14:41:38 Clarke for me. Not too much quality from us today. Could have played for a long time without scoring.
Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: FormerlyPlymRed on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 14:46:38 First half we did ok, Mcgoldrick the difference.
2nd half was really poor, no threat and very little quality. There were a few doom/gloom merchants there today but 8 points from Notts, Wimbledon, Bromley, Colchester and Grimsby - 3 of those away - is not a bad return. W Yep, keep up this form and we'll be o.k. Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 14:50:05 Notts County should be the blueprint for what we are trying to achieve. The fact we are absolutely miles off it, is very sad.
Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Batch on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 15:05:00 First half was Wright by a country mile. Everything we did positively started with him.
Second half was poor from everyone really. Not sure if anyone stood out. So I'll go for Wright Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Nomoreheroes on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 15:05:12 Tempted to go for Drinan as he had a good first half. Not so much second.
Bycroft did nothing wrong and made 2 saves Wright was solid, if unspectacular. But, lots of 6/10s So, I think I can genuinely go for 'none of the above' today. Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 15:05:41 The only threat we had was a couple of balls from Wright to Drinan.
Sobowale with the tackle of the match to stop it being 3 Kirkman for the first time looked vulnerable. We had little threat without Harry Smith, Tshimanga was absolutely terrible. The rest a bit average, against a generally better team, with a player who is too good for league 2 Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Wobbly Bob on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 15:42:02 Goal machine Drinan for me.
McGoldrick an absolute pleasure to watch him play Always found that space to play in. The heavy schedule looked to have taken its toll on a few towards the end, but a very good points return overall. Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: reeves4england on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 16:11:28 Went for Drinan for his effort and endeavour, especially first half. A little surprised to see so many others agree though as I felt it was a 5/10 or 6/10 from pretty much everyone.

Wait wtf! It was just a family meal out in a sports bar your honour 🤣 I must know you then? Or has my bellend reputation preceded me? Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Pericardinho on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 23:42:14 Easily Drinan. I really quite like him. He’s busy and always gives 100%. Bit quicker than people give him credit for too when running a channel.
His limitations are obvious but for the situation we are in, he’s more than fine as one of the 4 strikers. A certain loanee however… Title: Re: Notts County v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Bob's Orange on Sunday, January 5, 2025, 09:38:23 Wait wtf! A certain loanee however… I've always liked players who give their all when playing, even if they're shit. Drinan joins the likes of Turbo & Blair Sturrock in my personal list of favourites for that reason. |
