Title: Re: 56789 Post by: DV on Monday, December 9, 2024, 10:53:20 You've Lost me Absolutely crazy to think the first episode was over 20 years ago. September 2004 in the US. August 2005 in the UK. Lost actually changed the way television worked. Particularly the time it took US shows to reach the UK. I recently watched it for the first time, I thought the first couple of series were brilliant and then it seemed a bit all over the place. Title: Re: 56789 Post by: Nemo on Monday, December 9, 2024, 11:17:26 Lost (a bit like Game of Thrones) was one of those weird shows where it was this huge cultural behemoth for years... and then just stopped dead with a bad series or two and dropped out of the zeitgeist entirely.
Title: Re: 56789 Post by: Batch on Monday, December 9, 2024, 11:17:54 You've Lost me  I thought it was going to take longer than that tbh. Blame I recently watched it for the first time, I thought the first couple of series were brilliant and then it seemed a bit all over the place. Agreed there. Been a whilst since I watched it but to me it felt like they’d written lost to run for about 6 seasons then it was so popular the television companies demanded more - so they dragged it out. I think it’s around season 3 & 4 where there is a lot of Michael running around just going ‘they took my son’ & shouting ‘Walt’ It’s one of those shows that’s a decent watch the second time round because there are so many things right from the start that feature later on. The most obvious one is Locke holding the draft pieces black & white also when Sun thinks she’s pregnant & takes a test it’s a Whidmore branded one despite the fact they haven’t even been mentioned yet. Agreed there. It was Bamboo :hmmm: Title: Re: 56789 Post by: Batch on Monday, December 9, 2024, 11:52:22 |
