Title: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Nemo on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 15:52:25 Strange game. Plenty of candidates in the first hour.
Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: RedRag on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 15:55:45 First 45 Oforboh
First 75. McGregor. What a 'baller. All 95. Still McGregor but by then I'd have liked 7 Sobowale defending. So fcuking solid. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: adje on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 15:56:16 McGregor for me. Almost flawless 90 minutes
Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Boydy on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 15:59:10 I'm sure McGregor will win it but it's nice that there's actually several candidates who people could vote for for once.
Including my pick, Sobowale. Did fantastic on the right side. Defended doggedly, won second balls, carried it forward when he could, just got is away if required & held play up when needed. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 16:02:39 Ofoborh then McGregor for me. Bossed midfield.
Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: jayohaitchenn on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 16:06:21 McGregor / Cox both excellent, went McGregor

Sobowale and McGregor link up a bit like UGM and Hutton did at their best last season. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: iParadise on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 16:06:33 Oforborh for me but McGregor a close second.
Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Anonymous77 on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 16:22:50 Not a MOTM performance but must say Ollie Clarke played much better today than before his injury.
Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: adje on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 16:41:53 Not a MOTM performance but must say Ollie Clarke played much better today than before his injury. I thought that. It wasn't just the substitution of Ofobohr that affected usTitle: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: molepar on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 16:44:40 First hour probably best under Kennedy so far. I went for McGregor who again showed he is a very good player at this level. Not sure what deal he is on but extend it!
Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: ReadingRed on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 17:11:49 McGregor for me.
Kudos to Glatzl, who' saw little of the ball but never stopped chasing down hopeless causes and closing down defenders. He looked totally spent at the end Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 17:25:33 From the Numb matchday thread
Quote from: Numb fans Swindon were awful. Atrocious. But our utterly absent defence gifted them three goals. If they hadn’t been only marginally less s#!t than us they’d have got two or three more. A half decent team will absolutely take us to the cleaners That's how I saw it too, that Swindon side will do well to stay up, where does that leave us? And Swindon. How s#!t must they be to nearly collapse against us from 3 up. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: jayohaitchenn on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 17:32:09 Not a MOTM performance but must say Ollie Clarke played much better today than before his injury. We were fucking toilet after Clarke went off. Hopefully he can get fit and stay fit Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Nomoreheroes on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 20:28:02 Oforborh and Clarke dominated midfield. McGregor and Sobowale played well together in the first half, but struggled after we went 3-0 up.
Has to be Oforborh for me. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: digby on Saturday, October 12, 2024, 22:27:18 McGregor, Oforborh,Sobawale in that order
Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: DV on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 07:31:03 Calling it now.
One of two things; Joel McGregor 1) Sold in January 2) PotS Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: jayohaitchenn on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 07:47:36 Calling it now. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Broadbents Tackle on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 08:01:39 Oforborh just for me, although I do absolutely love everything about McGregor. Great on the ball and a little terrier without it.
I though the first 30 minutes was absolutely dire from both sides, but then we actually played some nice stuff until conceding and a few bits and pieces afterwards. The weird subs screwed us, although I get Clarke and Oforborh having to go off. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Bob's Orange on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 11:25:05 Also, only one R in Ofoborh He's the new George McEachran. Another player whose surname seemed to grow another letter 'R' into randomly. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Nemo on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 12:49:36 Also, only one R in Ofoborh I've got this wrong enough times that it's in my autocorrect dictionary now so it'll carry on being wrong more often than not I'm sure. Sorry Nnamdi. Title: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Ƭ̵̬̊: The Artist Formerly Known as CWIG on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 13:46:12 From the Numb matchday thread Absolutely correct. Hopefully he can get fit and stay fit Agree, we had a good 20 minutes but that was really poor for 70 but a wins a winTitle: Re: Cheltenham v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Batch on Monday, October 14, 2024, 09:18:12 I thought we were pretty good from 45 to 60 mins (i.e. half time to subs).
IMO: The goals in the first half were more moments of quality than sustained pressure. That's not a bad thing though, it shows we do have it. Maybe confidence will have us doing it more often. |
