Including my pick, Sobowale. Did fantastic on the right side. Defended doggedly, won second balls, carried it forward when he could, just got is away if required & held play up when needed. Sobowale and McGregor link up a bit like UGM and Hutton did at their best last season. I though the first 30 minutes was absolutely dire from both sides, but then we actually played some nice stuff until conceding and a few bits and pieces afterwards. The weird subs screwed us, although I get Clarke and Oforborh having to go off. IMO: The goals in the first half were more moments of quality than sustained pressure. That's not a bad thing though, it shows we do have it. Maybe confidence will have us doing it more often. |
