Cant wait for another first round exit!

Hope its a close defeat against a league one team this time, to avoid being the laughing stock of the nation once again

Wouldn't mind a non league trip away somewhere where its decent to go on the piss. If I can get a ticket be a good chance to kick off when we inevitably lose.

Away to Scarborough Athletic with a resounding 3 - 0 defeat on't telleh.

Slough would be interesting, just to play the best team in Reading.#

Probably something uninspiring like away versus Kettering.

Col Utd. Well no Round Two for Town then...

Some great derby ties drawn though:

Rovers v Weston
MK v Wimbledon
Northampton v Kettering
Notts County v Alfreton

Burton v Scarborough is a decent tie for the neutral

They'll do ''cheap'' tickets but it'll be on a cashback scheme for a game somewhere in an unnamed future fixture. They'll then ask fans to defer claiming their cashback offer due to an unforeseen admin error with a Swiss Car Rental Company.

Call me a cynic of course...but then I imagine the irony of the very real world, where Mr Plumber {no not Christopher but Clem} fucks up the installing of the new bogs that are supposedly incoming...oh sorry I meant County Ground renovation  :soapy tit wank:

On the upside, at least the scrapping of replays saves us a pointless trip to Colchester if it's level after 90

All square at full time results in extra time and possibly penalties, so presumably better to get a home draw.

FA Cup prize money.
Upped to compensate for loss of replays I guess.

£15k just for turning up and £45k for getting through.

The first round tie at Stockport was priced at £10 adult, £5 conc two years ago.

Hopefully a similar, sensible pricing structure can be put in place for this one.

Wrexham would get three times the audience of anyone else, it's hardly a surprise. Same as Man Utd getting picked every year.

The Wrexham story has really weird cut through - my grandmother-in-law, who lived her whole life in South Africa and has no interest in any sport other than bowls was asking me about it last Christmas. Mad.

Title: Re: FA Cup
Post by: Peter Venkman on Friday, October 18, 2024, 12:52:25
Often I know I knock the club but fair play I think thats a fair price by the club.

But conversely, if by some streak of luck we get to the 3rd round and get Man Utd or Man City etc at home we then can't really complain about them raising the ticket price by a similar percentage (if it happens of course).
