Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Friday, March 29, 2024, 20:38:37 Glatzel Had a really good game, but missed the only chance we actually created through our play. All of them worked hard, without playing much football. Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 10:52:18 What was the new player like? Like a poor mans midfield Akinfenwa I thought, ran around a bit but barely touched the ball but man hes a wide solid unit. The only bit I remember was McKirdy I think rifled him a pass that hit him in the chest and bounced 20 yards off it and he never flinched.Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: Bob1978 on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 11:14:51 Like a poor mans midfield Akinfenwa I thought, ran around a bit but barely touched the ball but man hes a wide solid unit. His first touch/ interception almonds set up a chance. Apart from that he just had to keep the defensive shape so not much to do. Title: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: Batch on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 11:36:35 yeah he didn't have enough time to show anything and is miles away from fitness. so unknown
but I get venks akinfenwa ref, he looks quite er, solid. ------ one assumes that this signing is with a view to next year. Not seen any contact length mentioned but I assume it's with at least a year's option Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 12:11:35 Harsh - he was only on for 10 minutes. His first touch/ interception almonds set up a chance. Apart from that he just had to keep the defensive shape so not much to do. The poor mans Akinfenwa is related to his build not his performance, I should have made that clearer, he had pretty much nothing to do just ran around a bit and TBH I dont remember him making many passes at all so cant say if he set up a chance TBH but I dont remember it.Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: Nemo on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 12:25:27 He's not as big as Akinfenwa but certainly a lot more square than your average modern footballer.

TBH no professional footballer is or probably will ever be as big as Akinfenwa, thats a man built for powerlifting not football, but what a target man he was.Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: Nemo on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 12:31:20 Well, not muscularly anyway. Is that what we've been missing - almonds?Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: fuzzy on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 15:51:55 Just realised I hadn't voted.
Kokolo for me. He had their number 11 in his pocket and neutralised what could have been a major threat down the wing. Title: Re: Swindon v Notts County MoM Thread Post by: Trollope’s Left Foot on Sunday, March 31, 2024, 10:17:58 Elbouzedi- purely on the basis that his pace causes problems for the opposition and he’s creating chances which in turn gets the crowd going a bit.
