Title: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Nemo on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 16:56:12 It was better than I expected. Which shows what I expect I guess. Two standout candidates for me, but we'll see how the vote goes. A patched together side trying their bollocks off, for the most part, but just really badly organised and naive.

Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: DV on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 17:03:25 I thought Khan was doing a decent job as a make shift CB then he was responsible for the mistake which completely changed the game.
Kinsella was industrious. Shade looked dangerous going forward. Kemp scored a goal. Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: FormerlyPlymRed on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 17:03:32 Kemp for me, only one who got on the ball and managed to create anything. Kinsella did alright as well.

Everyone was inconsistent.
I'll follow everyone else and say Kemp as he was the only one who had something about him. Although Austin tried hard. Who’s fault is that and what do they do in training all week (apart from drop like flies)? Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: TheDukeOfBanbury on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 19:50:23 Kemp in a sea of shite.
Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Nemo on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 20:41:15 So a question, is Remeao Hutton our most divisive player for years? I realise the divide isn't so much "is he shit or good" as much as "is the good attacking worth the bad defending?" but the stats are interesting for me:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/swindon-town/top-scorers/assists Hutton has 9 assists and creates 2.44 chances per game Kemp has 8 assists and creates 1.75 chances a game George McEachran is the only other player in our team averaging over 1 (1.09) I can't help but think if we had a proper targetman forward you'd be able to increase Hutton's numbers significantly, this is crossing towards Jake Young and the husk of Charlie Austin. And yet... Hutton has 37 MoM votes all season, fewer than Minturn, Kinsella and not that far ahead of Brooklyn Genesini. It's a funny one - I nearly voted for him today but I'm aware of myself always picking wrong! The obvious solution really does seem to be to put him on the right wing, but there must be a reason why 3 managers now have decided not to do that. Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Bennett on Sunday, December 24, 2023, 07:59:55 I think Hutton would be a great player for the right wing. (At times) he refuses to defend properly. It's a real pickle!
Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: DV on Sunday, December 24, 2023, 08:15:04 I mean I think the lack of moving Hutton forward has always been less about Hutton himself and more about finding a left winger and two full backs.
Don’t think we had the personnel for it last season. We could probably do it this season with a full squad but…well you know… Also if you go 4 at the back and 4 in midfield then you have decision to make around going 1-1 with Kemp and a forward or 2 upfront and then do you put Kemp in as 1 of the 2 CMs or leave him out (won’t be an issue next week) UGM (Genisini) Brewitt (Clayton) FBT (Minturn) Devine Hutton Khan (McEachran) Kinsella (Cain) Kokolo (Uwakwe) Kemp Young (Austin, RHM) Maybe the most obvious statement in TEF history but getting everyone fit is the problem. Are all the injuries genuine? In the Sheriden era we had players 'Injured' that just didn't want to play for him anymore Could we be seeing the same with the Morfuni regime? Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: Nemo on Sunday, December 24, 2023, 08:46:44 Flynn seemed to as good as call bullshit on RHM's injury in his post match.

All players who are either leaving or saving themselves for one last ‘put myself in the shop window’ game against Wrexham due to the likely extra media coverage. Title: Re: Tranmere v Swindon MotM Thread Post by: DV on Sunday, December 24, 2023, 09:00:32 RHM has made 14 league appearances (plus 1 cup)
I’m not saying 15 league games would automatically extend his contract for a year…however… |
