Title: Swindon v Aldershot, Swindon MoM Thread
Post by: Nemo on Monday, November 6, 2023, 09:25:12
Some of the dust has settled and I’ve realised I need to run a Town vote for appearances and averages sake as much as anything else. Nobody needs to vote, but I imagine we’ll still get more votes than the Reading EFL Trophy game. We did win 4-1 / 2-0 when the YTS lads were on I suppose.

Could we have 'none' as an option every week?

I think its a good option if you can only listen and not watch.

Also, there have been 2-3 games thus far when noone has put in a good performance.

If there is no 'none', then the overall stats get skewed. For example, with this match, I suspect nearly all of the votes will go to Kemp. But what if they all go to Fletcher Hubbard? When you look at the end of the season, he could be up there with the leaders, for a 3 minute season.

Not mid season no, although I can’t really see why people who want to vote for none can’t just… not vote.

Not least because there’s a good chance of None winning PotS half the time.

In the Sheridan season "None of the above" would have been TEF PotY.

Think there’s a decent chance of it would be close this year as well - the reason I’m fairly resistant to none of the above is that the winner usually picks up about 20% of the overall vote. Would be really quite easy to imagine none getting pretty close in any year we aren’t outright brilliant, considering how people get about defeats.

OK. Fair enough.

P.S. I already don't vote when I haven't seen the game  :toocool:
