Watching Stockport vs Gillingham match, a very tight competitive game.  Knoyle playing for Stockport, also Louie Barry, who has just gone off injured (looked likevly before that) Williams started but has just been subbed for Gillingham having had a Williams type game that we have all seen where the match just passed him by.

No numbers to back it up, but I imagine there are far more 'weird' results on opening day. Some teams are just more ready than others for the new season - certainly one positive of our game being off is Flynn having another week to help the side and find the last few signings.

I remember Norwich losing 7-1 at home on the opening day to Colchester a few years back and going on to win the league title that season.

My worry if I was a Wrexham fan is that their squad really isn’t that good tbh. New signings can change that but it’s a different type of player now and project now. Hunger players aiming to help get you out the league is different to 34 year olds who can double their salary going down 1 league

Just had a nose at the Wrexham forum. Not a meltdown. But critical of the US tour, would appear that they’ve not long come back and some suggestions that jet lag could have played a part. Accepted that MK tore them a new one. Plenty of wake up calls. Not happy with the team put out, exposed and overrun by a physical opponent. They haven’t asked for anyone’s panic button yet. We’ll see. Away to Wigan Tuesday, can see a defeat to nil as a nailed on bet. After that a tricky away visit to Wimbledon.

I've watched this FGR game.

They've had no corners, no shots on target and 33% possession against Doncaster.

Absolutely zero chance they can catch us. Especially with their next 4 games all against top 7 sides.

Whilst our season has been shit & next season is a massive worry there is no chance between FGR, Sutton, Colchester & Grimsby that 3 of those 4 pick up enough points to overtake us and throw us into the bottom 2.

I'd rather we were absolutely horrendous but still went forward. I'd take a season of Gunning playing 4 up front with zero tactics then whatever it is FGR just did.
