Title: New Rules Post by: Family at War on Friday, June 16, 2023, 12:57:40 Multi ball this season with balls all round the ground on cones to stop time wasting. Also no towels anymore, that's Tozer knackered then.
Title: Re: New Rules Post by: Wobbly Bob on Friday, June 16, 2023, 13:36:10 Pleased that multi ball is being brought it.
That little shit at Bradford will need to rethink their strategy. Hopefully we won't have to twiddle our thumbs waiting for the munchkins to chase the ball down on the bank or when it disappears into the black hole that is the steps down to the DRS concourse. Time wasting is ever a creative endeavour though so would expect a glacial approach to retrieving ball from cone or ignoring the "live" ball to head off towards one 20 yards down the touchline. All teams do it including us but fuck me Stevenage take the biscuit. Title: Re: New Rules Post by: Quagmire on Friday, June 16, 2023, 14:02:40 Just let there physios come on during the game, never understood why football hasn’t done it.
Title: Re: New Rules Post by: Jimmy Quinn on Friday, June 16, 2023, 14:31:13 Let's have the clock on display like in Rugby union so you can see when play is stopped etc
Title: Re: New Rules Post by: Audrey on Friday, June 16, 2023, 14:35:55 Need an interim between a yellow card and a red card. A 15 minute sin bin maybe.

An off the pitch detailed concussion review would sort this issue quickly. Title: Re: New Rules Post by: Jimmy Quinn on Friday, June 16, 2023, 14:56:36 Stop the holding and shirt pulling at corners and award penalties like they did for one season a few years ago.

Independent medical assessors would also be a good idea from both sides; stop the messing about and stop players playing on when they shouldn't. It would also give folks like Klopp and Mourinho another person to vent their paranoia at. Also no towels anymore, that's Tozer knackered then. Why the fuck do they not just go down the rugby route and stop the clock when the ball isn't in play? Title: Re: New Rules Post by: Wobbly Bob on Saturday, June 17, 2023, 07:19:34 A stop clock would make sense or ensure that the ball is in play for 30mins minimum in each half.
It's normally under an hour over the course of 90 mins. Could be some long afternoons & evenings if the ball had to be in play for the full 90 plus stopping the clock for stoppages. Crewe could then come to the CG & roll around on the floor to their hearts content & it wouldn't matter. Players will stop faking injury if they know it will end their game immediately. Players will stop taking injury if they know it will end their game immediately. Or they will hide the injury and play on which is something to avoid. Temporary sunstitution for head injury assesment? Title: Re: New Rules Post by: digby on Saturday, June 17, 2023, 12:09:06 Or they will hide the injury and play on which is something to avoid. That seems a sensible compromise !Temporary sunstitution for head injury assesment?
