Title: Getting up to speed
Post by: Flashheart on Saturday, August 14, 2021, 16:20:14
How many games would you say it takes for a game to start gelling - including pre-season?

I'd say 10-ish. If we did have a full pre-season I'd still give it another 3-4 games before I start being critical, and I don't think any of our pre-season games really count. So I have us on 3 so far.

I also think it's a bit unfair on other teams that the likes of Carlisle get to play us early on. But there's not much that can be done about that.

I'd say around 6-8 games to get up to speed for Town (this season). Then from 7-12 games, we should start having an idea of how easy/hard it is going to be for Town during the season.

if say bamboos 6-8 games is about right. though things are more clouded by the lack of preseason

I think about 10 as I feel we’re gonna need to almost sacrifice a couple of games to allow recovery of some players in the next month as the lack of mileage in the legs from preseason is going to be an issue.
