Guiness in dublin is nice. It tastes completely different. I've no idea why though.

I rarely drink it because its boring

I've been to the Guiness museum in Dublin. I bought a pair of novelty Guiness slippers!

How we laughed!

Agreed! I think they make Guiness out of leprechauns and lucky charms in Dublin. Over here they use gravel.

I think that applies to all drinks....wine in France tastes better than it does over here.

its strange though. People do always say it and I thought they were talking a load of balls. I mean, why would they produce a drink that is not that nice unless you drink it where its made?

but it does, it tastes a lot better and goes down easy. makes your poo black

Now for the science bit - the reason Guinness tastes better in Dublin (and trust me it does) is because of the differences in one of the raw ingredients used in the brewing process - water.

Most, if not all Guinness sold in mainland UK is brewed in London (I think), probably using water from the thames :chunder:

The Guinness in the USA is better than UK, as its imported from Ireland. Well it is in my 'local' anyway

 :beers:

Its a fair point......the Guinness Brewery in London was in Park Royal, a nondescript place on the north circular road distinguished, by a concrete bridge.

 Apparently it closed in June.

im abit tidly at the mo but i thought the guiness taste in Ireland is different because of the way its made, as in the soil and water?!
