Interesting hey? I found one on the way home from yesterday. It was floundering in the road so I picked it up and put it in the town gardens. They are a protected species you see. Just doing my job. Interestingly, thats the 3rd reptile I've found on my street in 7 years. In 1997 I found my first slow worm. It was pretty fast though. In 2001 (ish) I found a black adder. It was a lot bigger and I kept my distance as I didnt want to get bitten. What other reptiles have people found? Title: i found a slow worm yesterday. Must have been cause we were near a field and stream i assume.

Cotswolds are good for adders...they seem to like basking on the stone walls...haven't seen many in Wilts. New Forest and Dorset is good for lizards..... Title: i found a slow worm yesterday.
