Slightly off topic, always wondered why most pro footballers don't seem to make much of an effort to be "two footed". I always try to be, I can certainly pass and shoot with my weaker foot. The only area for football development would be to build strength for long diagonal balls. :girlgiggle: Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Ells on Saturday, July 9, 2016, 22:23:35 I'm a Southpaw My Dad called me this for years before I knew what it meant haha. I'm left handed, right footed, play guitar right handed (it's cheaper.) People always compliment my handwriting and say how unusual it is for a leftie to have nice writing, as if it's some sort of disease. Although I suppose it is fair enough to think that when you end up with blotches up your arm! Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Leggett on Saturday, July 9, 2016, 22:59:16 Left handed, left footed, but write right handed due to school not noticing I picked everything up with my left hand... twats.

Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Samdy Gray on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 06:43:52 Left-handed and left-footed, but hold my cutlery right-handed.
At school I used to confuse people in cricket by bowling left-handed and batting right-handed. Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Ginginho on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 06:53:59 For some reason it freaks a lot of people out when I play golf and throw darts left handed, apparently it looks weird.
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 07:33:58 Friend of mine and his gf are both right handed but use cutlery left handed. Freaks.
Right handed and naturally right footed, but am equally as shit at football on my left as well. Title: Re: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: horlock07 on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 07:51:14 Right handed but play guitar left handed. Continuing the theme, my old man who grew up in Swindon always remarks when he sees a one footed pro, 'you couldn't even get a trial for Swindon Boys in the 50's if you weren't two footed'Slightly off topic, always wondered why most pro footballers don't seem to make much of an effort to be "two footed". But do tailors still ask "on which side do you dress sir". Hoddle used to have "wrong foot" training sessions and remember a nice Shaun Taylor turn and finish with the right foot. Must have been one of his few non headed goals. Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Ardiles on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 08:17:22 Righty.
My youngest is right handed and left footed. He's 6, so I'm trying to get him to use his right foot as much as possible. Hoddle used to have "wrong foot" training sessions The Don was chillingly two-footed - shoot now or later, cut inside or cross from the byline, he would choose. Interesting about Hoddle, he really was ahead of his time in terms of skills coaching and tactics Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 08:44:14 I write left handed but absolutely everything else I am predominately right handed/footed
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Quagmire on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 08:46:07 Right handed, right footed, but play pool/snooker left handed for some reason.
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Tails on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 11:38:13 Bit of both. Left handed eater, left handed at hockey, tennis, bowling, right handed writing, right hander guitar and right handed drummer.
Bit of a general mishmash really! Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Berniman on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 12:38:18 Right handed, left footed, use cutlery left handed..
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: chalkies_shorts on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 13:01:46 left handed, right footed. Anything involving one hand I am left handed, anything involving two hands im right handed.
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: herthab on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 16:10:30 Left handed, although I eat right handed and boxed right handed too. 100% left footed.
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Arriba on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 19:13:04 I'm right handed and footed. I also have my fork in my right hand and knife in my left when eating. I don't get how people who are right handed go vice versa in that regard.
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: singingiiiffy on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 20:03:11 eye dominance tests are interesting and easy to try out on yourself. From experience they rarely match your hand dominance and for target sports you need to make a decision on which to sacrifice
Title: Re: Post by: FormerlyPlymRed on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 20:09:03 Right footed, right handed for writing, left handed for cricket/golf
Title: Re: Leftie or Rightie (not politics) Post by: Pete on Sunday, July 10, 2016, 23:19:22 left handed, right footed. Anything involving one hand I am left handed, anything involving two hands im right handed. Same as. Injured my left wrist last year and sort of learned to write with my right hand. However as soon as it healed I switched back. |
