Title: Naive tax refund question Post by: Abrahammer on Thursday, June 30, 2016, 10:26:48 I've never had a tax refund before hence this stupid question.
Would HMRC contact you by text message with a link to a (authentic looking) website that requests your personal info and bank card details in order to receive your refund? I guess I unfortunately already know the answer to this Title: Re: Naive tax refund question Post by: Panda Paws on Thursday, June 30, 2016, 10:32:54 No one is ever going to ask you for your card details. Certainly not the HMRC. The couple of times I've received one it was via cheque.
Also, if you're a normal salaried employer it's a strange time of year to be getting a rebate. Title: Re: Naive tax refund question Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Thursday, June 30, 2016, 10:33:21 I think you just put this to a poll and go with the answer

Title: Re: Naive tax refund question Post by: RedOx on Thursday, June 30, 2016, 13:26:18 I think I may be entitled to a refund from last year. I used the tax calculator on the hmrc site. It states that they will send you a form by the end of September. It says you get the money back by cheque, or if you are employed, via your tax coding / allowance. :hmmm:
