Title: Sharapova
Post by: michael on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, 19:28:23
Until yesterday I had totally forgotten just how aesthetically pleasing Maria Sharapova is.

God bless these sickly, elite-level, sports persons for not reading their memos properly.

Yup, that's why she has been the highest earning female athlete for the last 11 years in a row. Vast majority of this through sponsorships of course.

Her grunting is annoying though.

Would do your head in if you were slipping one into her

Creeps me out a bit that no one can even mention her achievements without saying they'd bang her or something.

She is a brilliant "sportsperson" who has attained the highest level and should be admired as a dedicated, focused, determined human being.

Ok now?

Ummm.........  ;)

I agree Ells.

It's such a shame that her sporting achievements have been overlooked by shallow people because of the fact that she's well fit and has fucking amazing tits and arse.

Consider yourself creeped out Ells.

Whoah there. There's 'being a lad' creepy, and there's 'being Alan' creepy.

I do not belong to one of these two definitions.

Absolutely, she never exploited her looks and body in any of her advertising endorsements

I genuinely thought I'd open this thread to read sensible comments regarding her banned substance abuse?!! What the hell was I thinking?!!

Well said that man :pint:

I saw her on the news last night. Fair play, she's a good looking girl, but she's exploiting her body and her looks in pretty much everything she does - on and off court.

Nothing wrong with that at all, but is it any surprise that blokes admit to wanting to smash her back doors in?

I'm sure she appeals to the muff-crunching brigade as well, though I can't imagine her with a shaved head and wearing dungarees. Then again......

Very unfortunate by the sounds of it. Harsh to be banned for an honest mistake.

She's a babe and could scream as much as she likes as far as I'm concerned.l by the way. I'd hope she would be a gusher too.

Absolute horse shit. She's been taking a drug normally prescribed for 4-6 weeks for over 10 years, and it's known as having properties that some athletes would desire - hence why more than 500 athletes at the European Games alone were taking it last year.

She knew she was taking it for her whole career for the benefits it gave her, and was beyond naive to not check the new list. First question, surely... are you taking any prescribed drugs? If so, check they're not fucking banned.

She and her team deserve this fall from grace, and the slack being afforded to her - I'm going to guess based on her likability and looks - is quite astounding. Would love to see the commentary if it was Serena, or a Polish weightlifter, or Kenyan marathon runner.

Most blokes are ruled by their knob, rather than their head, and the TEF is no exception.

I cannot believe you of all people have managed to type this sentence without shoehorning in a reference to the Conservative Party Reg.

Shoehorning, may have a differnt meaning amongst Tories for all I know....when you consider their leader has previous for sticking his todger in pig's heads.

I thought she wrote the banned substance down without any attempt to cover it up which would point to her not knowing it was banned - unfortunate mistake.

I would have had the same opinion regarding this had it been Serena Williams but would rather have a wank where she's concerned.

My point is it's not an "honest mistake". She'd been taking it for 10+ years to gain an advantage. She then was told, by numerous organisations it was banned. She carried on taking it.

She deserves everything she gets. How anyone can feel sorry for her is beyond me.

Does she get to keep the prize money accumulated during those 10 years? If yes, then I guess it shows that drugs do pay and cheats will prosper.

From what I have heard and read about this the drug she used for 10 years was only banned in January this year so wasn't technically illegal before then (when she won all her titles etc)

Brilliant post, especially the last bit.
I am a carer and I carry drugs on me a lot. I also work in secure facilities/prisons so I do need to be aware that anything I carry needs to be accounted for. I do so. It's my fucking job.

It's important to point out that she was only cheating as of 2016. To say that she has been cheating taking a drug that she knows to give performance enhancing techniques, whilst it is legal, is a little bit reductionist as what's the difference between her taking it or taking creatine, which is also legal? I bet she knew that the drug was performance enhancing as mentioned you should only take it for 4-6 weeks, not 10 years.

Saying that, she should be given a substantial ban for her naïvity not to check the 2016 drug list, or even further thinking that she'd get away with it. Also, she should sack her Doctor who should have also checked the list considering they were the one prescribing her the drug in the first place.

In fairness that advantage was there for everyone to use previous to 2016.
Not really that much of an advantage if it's available to everyone?

Judging by all the recent positives, everyone WAS using it!

Some of the benefits of it are that it is good for the heart, improves memory, burns fat, and improves your sexual performance. Let's have a go then.
