Wigan spent damn near our annual wage budget on agents fees. That's mad.

I'd suggest they spent more than Town's annual budget (a fair bit more), though this included nine months in the Championship

All in all £160m was spent on Agent's fees in all 4 divisions...Why? Agents represent the player, so the only people who should pay them, is the player himself.

Not true, a lot of clubs will use an agent now, generally to negotiate with the player's agent. I think one agent got in quite a bit of trouble for acting for both parties in a transaction

Our figures are coming down. £458k in 2012,  £128k in 2013 and £90k last season. Our friends in Bristol did £231k last season, Preston £195k and Franchise £672k. Another expensive year for Sheffield Utd £255k and didn't get promoted, that's a lot of brown paper bags if the family tradition was maintained.

You mention that, but the brown bags don't show up in the books..

Does disclosed agent spending include "payments made to one's mates"?
