Title: Sound not working on my laptop Post by: Ginginho on Friday, November 6, 2015, 21:35:04 The sound on my laptop has decided to stop working and I have no idea why.
I've updated the drivers and according to my computer "This device is working properly" even though it isn't. It's an Acer laptop, I updated to Windows 10 a couple of months ago. It has a Realtek HD Audio sound card. When I try and play an MP3 in Windows Media Player I get an error message, if I click on Web Help it takes me to this page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/c00d11b1 For the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong, maybe a recent Windows update has messed something up, I don't know. Anyone have any ideas? Ta muchly. Sometimes fixes things.
