Title: Consumer advice
Post by: Samdy Gray on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 14:12:47
I ordered something online, the merchant has billed me for one item but today I have taken delivery of two (in one box).

Do I send it back? Or do I keep quiet and hope they don't ask for it back?

What does the dispatch note say? If it's just one, that's what they have on their internal systems and then it's a moral dilemma rather than anything else.

Keep it. Unlikely anything will come of it and if it does just send it back

I bought a pool table recently, should have come with 2 cues as standard, for reasons unknown to me I now have 8, from 4 separate deliveries. I shall not be complaining about random incompetence..

Yes. Apart from when a chubby bint asks you if she looks fat.

IANAL but, my understanding is that if you receive something in the post/ courier etc. that you haven't ordered, advise the company that sent it so they can arrange collection. No collection within a reasonable time (or specified time but I CBA to search the regulations) then the unasked for item becomes yours.

I ordered a pair of size 12 (mens) astro turf trainers a few months ago.
They arrived a few days later. However they sent me size 12 (boys).
I phoned and told them, they sent me replacements and said not to worry about sending the others back.
The replacements turned up a couple of days later. They sent boys size 12 again.
I again phoned and told them what had happened, they again sent me replacements and told me to just keep the wrong pair.

Third time lucky, I got the right pair.
A few weeks later another shipment turned up, again a pair of boys size 12 trainers.

So I ended up with three pairs of boys size 12 astroturf trainers. Luckily they fitted my nephew.

Sports Direct, useless fuckers.

Ha, I'm size 12 too. I tend to find a lot of the trainers I actually like only go up to 11  :( although 12 and above is catered for.

My feet are approx 11.5 inches long, so nearly a foot. With shoes on I'm handy for measuring rooms for carpets  :)
