Title: Gnomes and stuff
Post by: 4D on Thursday, February 5, 2015, 14:28:32
I need to get some ideas for creating a garden. It's a blank canvas, a basic rectangular shape and fairly small. Thoughts?

A mate and I once managed to convince a girl that gnomes are actually real creatures in Britain. True story.

Ornamental lake, and avenue of trees with perhaps a memorial column to 4D at the bottom?

I have an STFC Gnome in the Garden, I've no idea where the person who bought it for me got it from.

What sort of soil do you have?  (Chalky?  Sandy?  Clay?)
How well does the garden drain in wet weather?
Is the plot in a shady position, or does it get good light?
Do you enjoy gardening, or are you looking for something low maintenance?

Only people with beards own gnomes.

Normal to clay soil, sunny. Like a neat garden, nothing too demanding and no lawn.
