your ground is alot better than ours for atmosphere, it felt really enclosed whereas ours, aside from only having 3 stands, has fucking massive gaps between the stands which loses all the presence. i dont really remember a great deal of the match and i only remember pooks goal, which was nicely curled into the bottom corner. i enjoyed abusing mooney, although it sounds as though we should've been in the arkells from the events described on here. i didnt even notice thorpe was playing until i had a drunken chat with dex at half time. roberts looked half the player he was when i saw him for exeter 2/3 seasons ago. ifil looked a solid defender but his distribution was shocking, he did the exact opposite of what he should have done every time. but yes generally you were poor. the old man in front said he thought you'd go down and if your 1st XI isn't much better than that then i'd be worried (if i weren't an oxford fan). a pleasure to meet you all, it wasn't weird at all. i still cant believe that was mex.
