I'm not sure I'd have been *that* bothered. We bring in shit loads of loans anyway and as long as that's all it would have been, then I don't see that big of deal.

The last sentence suggests that the hearing continues, is that today or just the fact that no decision was made and won't be made till next week?

This arrangement to be a spurs feeder club was blatantly obvious from the outset.
It stank then and still does now.

Only one has supposedly put in 2 million quid to save the club so for me Power has to have some respect for this.

I've heard the Swindon/Spurs relationship disdained in a few national debates regarding B teams. Plus it sounds like we're sounding out a similar relationship with a new club anyway, so this strategy might not be done yet.

I think it will be vetoed with the key word being, 'eventually'.

I'd love to know how/how much cash Jed is alleged to have stolen. Obviously since it's going legal the adver can't report much.

I have a vague memory not so long ago there was some mention of the (recovery of ) the concert money but I may have that totally wrong.

I'm not very knowledgeable about the law, but if jed has accused Power of match fixing, could that lead to a libel case? Or is a courtroom like parliament,  where they can say what they like without any recourse?

Match fixing and stealing money from the club? Those are indeed some pretty libelous accusations if not true.

Serious question, not stirring and I am undecided on the matter but what has Power done to be afforded 'wanker' status.

Personal opinion. I've never liked him (even as a player) but he's a better option than Jed. He's ginger, he's cockney, he lives in Switzerland to avoid taxes. Is that enough?

This is a ridiculous story by the adver. They are reporting Jed's panicky mudslinging as news.

One thing I didn't understand is McCrory saying Power was interested in buying a night club in Swindon.

Why say that? How does it make the blindest bit of difference whether he is or not? What a completely worthless and irrelevant thing to say!

Totally agree Flasheart. I can only assume he was trying to look more creditable than Power. Oooo look at me, I'm going to be an MP whereas that chap over there is the sort of guy who would run a nightclub. Who really knows what goes on in Jed's head?! Think we can safely assume he's a pretty delusional sort though.

Friday's Adver had a pic and headline at the top of the front page and a report on page 2. Non-courtroom stuff was at the back.

What's also came out of this court is Martin King was involved as he approached Power, despite the claims from Jed being somewhat different!

Perhaps Jed is getting confused with the rule that states a director can not own two clubs at the same time  :D
