Family have used them for many years, decent prices and always been treated well. Their minor service is £100 but a dealer is only £20 more.
Title: Re: car servicing in swindon Post by: jonny72 on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, 20:12:31 Yeah - I always kept to the main dealer until it got to the point it just wasn't worth worrying about anymore.
Title: Re: car servicing in swindon Post by: Honkytonk on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 00:33:41 I haven't decided what I'll do when my car needs its next service - it's got main dealer stamps for the past 14 years, from new, and the incredibly anal side of my brain wants to keep it that way.
Mind you, depends what needs doing... Title: Re: car servicing in swindon Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 01:35:55 If you want to use a main dealer then Clarke & Rodway in Marlborough

Title: Re: car servicing in swindon Post by: @mwooly63 on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 13:23:35 All garages can provide a stamp for the service book  Even the mobile mechanic I had last time stamped it Title: Re: car servicing in swindon Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 14:16:15 They're not manufacturer dealer stamps though, which used to make the difference - not sure it even matters anymore!
Title: Re: Post by: Batch on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 15:42:44 It might do if it comes to out of warranty negotiations. E.g. old boss car head gasket went just outside warranty. It easier to argue that their dealers has done the servicing within schedule and it shouldn't have happened so soon.. Legally of course I doubt the case had any more merit than if a regular garage did it (with OEM parts).
But there must be a crossover where the manufacturer will just laugh at you..I go to the most backstreet garage you'll find. The bloke there is very good. Title: Re: car servicing in swindon Post by: kerry red on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 15:52:03 Franklands in Bassett are very good
