Title: Sight Seeing Post by: Power to people on Monday, June 2, 2014, 14:38:36 We are going on hols in August and are staying in London the day before so have probably around 1/2 a day or so for sightseeing, we have a 5 year old (and 1 year old) so want to show him a few sights, the Mrs wants a couple of shops on Oxford St, was thinking of taking in buckingham palace so he can see the guards etc but wasn't sure where else to take him which he may find interesting and is not going to cost (other than the tube) Any ideas ?

Title: Re: Sight Seeing Post by: reeves4england on Monday, June 2, 2014, 19:23:31 You can't get much done in half a day, so the science and natural history museums are good shouts. Also, much better off shopping in Knightsbridge that on Oxford Street, so everyone wins.

Title: Re: Sight Seeing Post by: Dostoyevsky on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, 13:19:43 It is in that patch where The John Soames Museum is, piece of grassland just off the river. Lots of dissected body parts in glass jars. I'll find a link:

Bus tour if only to marvel at how they make such a vibrant, historic and contrasting city seem as bland as Reading, so as not to offend anyone. |
