Interesting read and seems like a grounded lad. Think he should have named and shamed the player who basically ended his career though!

Don't know who it was, but I believe Neil Ruddock was 34 in 2002.

Good article that, young Alan Young seems a well grounded nice bloke.

He should say who the 34 year old Scottish clogger was, could be anyone I guess, that makes him 47 or 48 now so the same age as me.

David Robertson was a defender who was 33/34 in 2001, ex Rangers, who was released by Leeds in 2001 who was a bit of a dirty player coming to the end of his career  :sherlock:

I think that not naming him is part of the well grounded approach to getting on with his life that you refer to.  Harking back to "the bastard who ruined my career" doesn't help the moving on process.  Acknowledging, as he does, that maybe he provoked it to some small extent is equally impressive.

Sounds like a good guy - wish him well.
