Amazing part of the country, I miss it. Love the Hadrians Wall area, been there many times on the way to Edinburgh. Amazing part of the country, I miss it. I could not imagine living there nearly 2,000 years ago in the middle of winter being posted there from warmer parts of the world (yes I know most serving there were from Northern Europe but it was still a long way from home for them) facing the damn Brittunculi on one side the raging jocks on the other :D . There was a scene in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves where they are at the wall, a bit far from Nottingham :)
