No matter how poor a game they may be having no player deserves that. If people want to hoot and roar I would suggest the manager should be the focal point not the players. Not that I'm suggesting Cooper needs jeering - he doesn't. He didn't have a great game but not through lack of effort, which he has put in every game I've seen him play so far.

I got frustrated when he spurred a few chances in great positions, but it was his ball that played in Storey. Cheering a player being substituted is a dickhead move.

His touch is rotten but he knows where the goal is. That boy Line Acre at the start of his career had the touch of a rapist, but with good coaching he improved very quickly, goalscoring is a natural thing but you can certainly coach control into a player, the same cannot be said about goalscoring instinct, that you either have or dont have. His touch is rotten but he knows where the goal is. Except it isn't always as the game against Preston showed. At the moment he's not consistent and it seems if he starts a game with some good early touches he's ok. He does seem to let a few bad touches get to him though. Title: Re: Adver News: Cooper backs Smith to silence his critics Post by: Benzel on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, 11:22:51 He has much better control with his chest than he does with his feet at the moment. If we want the ball to stick to him then maybe the method of passing could be altered to suit as well?

Perhaps just coat him in superglue before the game or cover him in double sided duct tape?q |
