Criticism aimed at Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper has been unfair, according to Robins chairman Lee Power. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26655411 Title: Re: BBC News: Chairman backs Swindon boss Cooper Post by: tans on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, 19:16:32 Vote of confidence ;)

Title: Re: BBC News: Chairman backs Swindon boss Cooper Post by: DMR on Friday, March 21, 2014, 08:35:17 I always like the idea of a top pro coming in as manager at a lower level, at the very least they will have high standards/expectations and should, in theory, command the respect of L1 level players.
Worked with PDC, Wise etc. Title: Re: BBC News: Chairman backs Swindon boss Cooper Post by: Abrahammer on Friday, March 21, 2014, 08:49:51 I think he went about things the right way to start his coaching career, the best part of 5/6 working behind the scenes learning the ropes rather than jump into management.
In hindsight taking the Spurs job will probably be turn out to be a mistake but he could hardly turn the opportunity down. I'd have here in a shot, he is highly regarded as a coach which let's face it is what our manager position actually is. I pay little to no attention to the Premier League, but Spurs are in 5th place so surely he must be doing reasonable job at least. |
