Yes, I know it's difficult to light but am thinking of replacing my bit of lawn with some artificial stuff.

Just wondering if anyone has some and what it's like

The new stuff looks very good but as Arriba says it is expensive.  Had a quote last summer for the front lawn which isn't that big 7x5m and it was over 3k. Think the company was easigrass. Chap was very good and drives a Smart Car covered in the stuff, based in Calne. Couldn't justify the expense in the end and will relay in the spring with real grass.

A friend of ours spent over 2 grand on a tiny patch to replace his 'lawn'. His Mrs wasn't too impressed when just a monthn or two afterwards he dropped the top of his BBQ on it, which was piping hot at the time. Nice burn mark on it now, gutted.

I remember an article in the paper last year, some bloke had just laid his front garden with artificial grass. Next day he woke up and pikeys had nicked it all and he was left with what looked like a sand pit!

Next door neighbours had it put down, and then bought 2 staffy pups. Lots of yellow patches :) Tore it up and put turf down, and still got lots of yellow patches. I'm not sure what the point of my post is, apart from don't buy puppies.

Next door had theirs done looks good from our window. The have a dog but I can't see piss strains. Can't see the point either though. I reckon that with the size of our gardens it takes 10 minutes to cut, Max.

Might have been the sun, but when they had a wazz it didn't go anywhere, this was about 6 years ago, the technology or whatever has probably moved on

Or put the puppies down instead...
