Title: Adver News: Wembley, where is that then?

Wembley, where is that then?

HAVING grown up in Australia, Massimo Luongo might not quite have the same emotional attachment to Wembley as many of his Swindon Town teammates but that doesn’t mean the midfielder isn’t desperate for a chance to turn out at England’s national stadium.

Decent arena though!
It's really not, not for football. It's a corporate entertainment venue, not a football stadium.

I meant the actual arena, for gigs! I love it.

The stadium is pretty but dull.

I think for the size they've made it then it's pretty good, as close as you can get to the pitch without making the top tier vertical.

And I can confirm that it is pretty good at the corporate stuff (2 hours sleeping on the tube to Baker St back and forth pay testament to that) but I have yet to enjoy a game of football.  I wonder if that changes should you actually score there though?

Shite location, shite view, dismal for atmosphere, expensive, shite packed pubs as there aint enough of them. For football it's crap.

I love the Wembley experience, up until I enter the stadium.

Surely people drink away and tube it in.

Thats what I did against Sunderland and got caught up in a huge punch up at Bakers St

I thought the Polish fans myth-busted the notion that you can't generate an atmosphere at Wembley? Certainly seemed the case.

I agree, Atmosphere is definitely possible. Been too a few egg chasing games there and fantastic atmosphere. Was at the Polish game as well. The problem with getting an Atmosphere at England games now is the fucking leeching Sheffield Pukka Pies band. Every time England Fans try and get something going. The fuckers are off again with there fucking trumpets. Numbers matter as well. You got to get all you shouters / singers in one location to be heard by everyone else to get it going. Sadly even if we get there we'll be lucky to take 15,000 this time and the emptiness will have a numbing effect.
