Hi guys just a little info for any of you looking to have a pre match drink before the cup game on the 5th Feb.

The Peacock is an away and child friendly pub directly opposite the Football Ground (1 min walk to the ground)
We welcome away fans and also children, the pub has Sky Sports and serves a wide range of drinks, unfortunately we don't serve food on matchdays , but there is a KFC nextdoor which you are welcome to eat on the premises.

We also offer car parking at £4 per car or £10 per minibus and you can reserve your place in advance which guarantees your parking space, 50 % of your car park charge will be refunded via a voucher for you to spend behind the bar.

Predictions for the game Peacock?

I see that Dagenham player turned you down today, what is it with players turning Posh down recently?

With regards for the Dagenham player turning us down I really don't know, I cant believe the players are after the success we have had with lower league players in the past.

As for prediction, it depends which Peterborough turn up, but I will go for a 2 -1 win for us in the first leg and a backs to the wall 1-1 at your place.

Was looking to go to this, only £10 a ticket, so jumped online for a train ticket. £115 return from SW London. Get Fucked.

Fucking hell, its only £82 from Yeovil to Peterborough return and that includes underground ticket too.

You can get it substantially cheaper than that, try First Capital Connect services, its only slightly slower.

Perhaps you could lay on a minibus for us?  :D

I'm pretty sure we parked our minibus and drank in this Peacock place when went up for the last game of the season a few years back.. Can't say that for definite though!

Are we confident the game will be on? Their pitch had parts under water on Saturday and the forecast for Wednesday is more rain.

Rained off...or a shit muddy wet pitch might give us a chance...

If the game was being played tonight there would be no problems, however the pitch is still very wet and boggy and if we get the rain expected tomorrow then the game will be in serious doubt.

Do you know how many tickets you guys have sold in advance ? Obviously its £4 cheaper for you if they are bought by close of business today. (£10 in advance or £14 on the night )

Can't imagine many people will be taking the afternoon off work and travelling that far for a game that might not go ahead, is an almost nailed on defeat, and will be televised anyway.

Nailed on defeat ? We have been absolutely terrible the last couple of months and cant see anything changing soon, not to mention the fact we only have 1 striker available who isn't cup tied.

Heavy rain predicted all afternoon there, so I predict a turnout of 0

I read on Twitter that if it is cancelled tomorrow it will take place next week. Looking at the Sky Sport schedule, they could easily accommodate it on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'll be going!  But then I'm only 50 miles away.  I'm taking a car full from work as I don't anticipate a big crowd, either from us or Posh.

Won't help Langers. I'll be on the bus instead on the way across London then it'll probably be a cab back to make sure we get the last quick train back from Padd.

The last time we played them up here in this competition there were 112 Town fans in a crowd of 959.

FWIW we lost 2-1 with Trevor Benjamin scoring for them (it was a penalty).

TV or not, the chance of watching Town less than 5 miles from home means we will be going.

No plans for a pitch inspection at the minute but will keep you updated from this end..........
