We've reportedly paid a fee to Brighton for Barker so it seems we can afford some spending. The fact is we need another defender. Where would we find a decent one of Troy's calibre for less than that figure of £20,000? We'll still be paying his salary even if he doesn't play. If not, the only thing we can do is loan him out, get the other team to pay a portion of the wage, hope he impresses enough so that we can sell him or cancel contract so he can join someone else.
