SWINDON Town could turn to Michael Ngoo to fill the void left by the imminent departure of Nile Ranger from the County Ground. http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/10920184.Town_hold_Ngoo_transfer_talks/?ref=rss Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: @mwooly63 on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 07:10:01 Quote Last summer he was given the chance in the Championship by joining Yeovil on a season-long deal but was sent back to Anfield just three months into his stay at Huish Park. Wonder what the reason for that was as doesnt mention an injury :hmmm: Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Langers on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 07:40:02 He's 6ft 6 so would definitely fit the target man role.

God not Ngoo, he was appalling at Yeovil, cant head cant pass looks more like a basketball player than a footballer apparently. No pace and can't hit a barn door with a banjo....need any more? Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 07:51:41 Yeah obviously Liverpool cant spot any young talent. He's done a good job conning them for 4 years....
Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Batch on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 07:55:09 He scored 4 in 15 at Hearts, which isn't too bad. The step down to league 1 (from the Championship) may help too.
Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: BruceChatwin on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 08:07:54 N'guessan - Luongo - Ngoo - the commentary team are going to sound like a gurgling baby.

He's done a good job conning them for 4 years.... That was the conclusion of all at Yeovil who had for a couple of months yes.Hopefully it was just a case that he couldn't be bothered at Yeovil and didn't like the club thats why he gave no effort there...maybe. He could be a perfect match for us possibly, might be. Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 09:29:54 Difficult to tell from that video but looked to be a threat up front for Hearts and a couple of intelligent assists too.
With the weather meaning the pitch likely to be worse than normal, a big target man option is going to be vital. Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: jayohaitchenn on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 10:09:27 It took 2:18 of that video to show him winning a header :) I like the look of him though. Strong and direct and a decent shot with both feet.
Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Tails on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 10:49:23 The overwhelming response so far I'm getting from doing a bit of research is that he's a 6 foot 6 monster who can't win headers....
If he can hold the ball up that will help us no end but it's a bit worrying that his aerial ability seems to be quite poor. Plenty of time for that to develop though. I'll give the lad a chance if we sign him, could turn out to be a gem. Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Barry Scott on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 10:58:47 The overwhelming response so far I'm getting from doing a bit of research is that he's a 6 foot 6 monster who can't win headers.... Like Fola. As a 6'7" giant, his ability to not win a header was comical. I swear he didn't jump, just removed his feet from the ground and lost height until he extended his legs again. Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Bewster on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 10:59:14 Having a player on loan is never the same as actually having a player contracted to the club with regards to effort levels and commitment to the cause.
Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 11:03:42 He scored 4 in 15 at Hearts, which isn't too bad. Could he make the step up to L1 though? Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Tails on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 11:08:26 Like Fola. As a 6'7" giant, his ability to not win a header was comical. I swear he didn't jump, just removed his feet from the ground and lost height until he extended his legs again. Haha, I would love to see another Fola. The guy would pull off the most ridiculous skill but you know he had absolutely no intention of doing it. Remember him giving Lincoln's defence a particularly hard time, but then fluffing his shot a good 3 or 4 times. Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: Honkytonk on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 11:15:44 He's too short, I will boo him.

I've seen plenty of loan players show more commitment than we've seen from some contracted players. Depends on the individual player IMO. The basketball tall players are often shite in the air....think Crouch, Zigic, very often the giant defenders, just use their height advantage to more or less lean into the ball...Flint, Heywood, going back Nigel Grey, Simon Gibson, etc It's the hold up play you want, as they're awkward to deal with with back to goal....Zigic used to play in a sexy, tiki taka Valencia side alongside the likes of Davids Villa and Silva, Juan Mata, Pablo Hernandez and Joaquin. I'm just waiting for Christian Roberts to try and wrap his tongue round that when they're playing a one-two. Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: kerry red on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 11:58:09 Just looking at some Liverpool fans comments when he returned early from Yeovil.
He seems to be rated well by most of them - Kanu-ish according to them. There was talk of another Liverpool player coming - Texeira - who they rate very highly. My suggestion would be N'Guessan Dorma, a good old fashioned football song, terribly underused since 1990! Phil Smiths debut. Dennis Wise last game. Title: Re: Adver News: Town hold Ngoo transfer talks Post by: tans on Thursday, January 9, 2014, 10:59:21 I saw him score at Notts County
