If the Wes cash is not forthcoming does this change our rebuilding plans?  Or is Mass on his way?

I'm sure other teams are requiring new keepers and might have Wes on the radar.

However, as Flash said, it would be good if he stayed.

Player's values diminish as their contracts run down...whilst being wary of Power, so far, he's been honest in what he has said, so don't really see a reason why this shouldn't be true...100K isn't exactly a fortune in football terms.

Given the fact he has barely played and only has 6 months left on his contract, I think it's reasonable to offer a reduced price.

Rumour has it they've left it to the player to decide anyway, so that would suggest it's not been rejected as has been reported.

But do we want just be his club of last resort .

100k for 10/15 goals is a quite good return. If we get him and that's what he gets then it's good business.

I Agree with the sentiment but we'd have fuck all players. Its hardly the epitome of anyone's career playing for Town.

But the fella has said he doesn't want to drop down a league - but may consider Wolves.

He obviously thinks he is good enough for a Championship side, but if one doesn't come in for him he may agree to slum it at Swindon.

He is ambitious and believes in his ability to play at a higher level than us. Nothing wrong with that if came here and was determined to prove that point.

I imagine most of our players (and all of League 1) would rather play in the Championship and are effectively "settling" for us

Anyone who thinks any player who has anything about him wants to ply their trade at Swindon is fucking deluded. Every single player we've ever had, who had the opportunity,  left us. It's their job, not a lifetime commitment. If players feel they can do better than us they will. I've got no problem with that,  as long as they are committed when they are here.
