Nothing more to say really. Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: Dostoyevsky on Sunday, December 29, 2013, 22:35:16 Eminent brain surgeon there because of massive swelling to the brain. This really does not sound promising.

Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: ghanimah on Sunday, December 29, 2013, 22:41:39 I guess it goes without saying that here's hoping he makes a swift recovery but the news so far doesn't look good...
Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: jonny72 on Sunday, December 29, 2013, 23:15:37 Sounds pretty bad from the reports. Kind of reminded me of the first reports after Diana's car crash.
Hope its not as bad as it appears. Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: Chubbs on Monday, December 30, 2013, 11:53:41 Hope he pulls through, but judging by the recent reports its not looking good.
Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: walrus on Monday, December 30, 2013, 12:11:56 Schumacher is a fighter. I sincerely hope he pulls through.
Schumy was my original sporting hero. Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: Barry Scott on Monday, December 30, 2013, 13:11:39 Schumy was my original sporting hero. I'd go so far as to say only. He was why I continued to watch F1 and when he retired, I stopped watching. My sister is really upset about this, she watched F1 with me and became addicted and a proper die-hard fan of Schumacher. She used to go to Silverstone every year and camp out. For a few years, pre-9/11 I think, a friend of a friend got her tickets for the paddock and one year she met him. She saw him leaving a cafe of sorts and walked up to him as he was getting on his moped. She touched his arm, became tongue-tied and managed to say, "Michael," before she started bawling! I don't even think she got his autograph! Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: leefer on Monday, December 30, 2013, 15:25:19 No one will know how bad it is untill(and if) he wakes from the coma...some people are in a coma for weeks wake up and incredibly are not to bad....small bleeds and swellings can lead to false hope and when the person awaikes they are in a bad way...it really is in the lap of the gods with this kind of injury.
Lets hope that he isn't to bad. Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: Not that Nice If I'm Honest on Monday, December 30, 2013, 17:26:53 I wonder if Damon Hill gave him a nudge ?
Title: Re: F1 champion Michael Schumacher 'critical' after ski fall Post by: Gnasher on Monday, December 30, 2013, 17:33:10 Been through this with my dad (only he hit his head on a lorry doing 50 ). Hopefully he makes a full recovery and retains most of this personality, for his wife and kids' sake.
