Saw Lostprophets live a couple of years ago. Feel sorry for the rest of the band, that's their livelihood gone in a heartbeat. Obviously doesn't compare to the victims, but must still suck.

Guy was a complete mess anyway, just the final nail in his coffin. Deserves whatever he gets now as far as I'm concerned.

That bands name has been completely tarnished as well. I was never a fan, but I do feel a little bit of sympathy for the rest of them as Nemo said.

Whether he actually is mentally ill or just a cunt is a really interesting topic of discussion, the delineation of mental illness and where people are just wrong would have all sorts of implications.

I must have hundreds of hours of HD films and tv series (all legally downloaded, of course) and that doesn't even fill 4TB.

As a rough idea 1GB is roughly 15 mins of broadcast HD, so assuming the quoted figure is using the modern practice of quoting TB = 1000GB (rather than the more correct 1024, but disk manufacturers started using 1000 so they could boost their stated capacities and now everyone seems to do it), then 1TB would be around 250 hours of broadcast HD. But if it's downloaded then that could and probably would be considerably more. It's still a shitload.

The comparison with the South Wales police database is utterly meaningless as that is likely largely composed of textual information with some still images, with very little HD video, so a size comparison conveys nothing about the amount of "information" that can be stored in a given storage size.

None of which matters, even 2Gb of this kind of shit is repellent and it's primarily what he did rather than what he watched that he's rightly been jailed for - the images/videos were a comparatively small part of the overall indictment.

Don't blame disk manufacturers,  they were just using the  International System of Units (SI ) definition of terrabyte (TB). Honest Gov. What you have with your 1024 there is in fact a tebibyte (TiB), according to the IEC.

Anyway whatever, that's a **** load of sickness.

On disk manufacturing, there's also the old 'within 10%' adage, so 1TB is more likely than not closer to 900GB.

The fact that the mother's are protected by anonymity is wrong as well.  I understand it's so the children can't be identified, but as they're so young and have put into long term foster care, I'm not sure how links would be made.  Anyone who knew the mothers probably knows anyway, so why can't they be publicly named?

I hope the prisoners they are placed with find out who they are.

I dont personally agree with naming the apalling mothers. Hopefully their children will have decent futures without them involved so for their sakes its better their mothers identities are not made public.

I also dont agree when cases like this have people calling for fellow inmates to dish out punishment. They are also in prison for a reason.

99% of the time I'd completely agree. All the movie-style hard man bollocks about "nonces getting it in prison," usually regurgitated by people who have never been to prison, is embarrassing.
