Title: Football Manager 2014 Post by: Chubbs on Sunday, November 3, 2013, 15:30:09 Anyone got it? Ive been playing around with the demo over the last few days. Downloaded a few tactics (will make my own when/if i decide to buy)
Come across one tactic called RoyalDaulton and i must say its superb. As for the game itself I've not made my mind up yet, its not to dissimilar from last year, the 3d engine in a bit smoother, and i can see the change in the AI especially in team talks etc but its pretty much the same. Still fun to play (when you're winning) Title: Re: Football Manager 2014 Post by: Sippo on Monday, November 4, 2013, 12:22:01 Is there a mac demo?

Downloaded a few tactics (will make my own when/if i decide to buy) Had a quick google of the Royal Doulton tactic and interestingly its almost identical to the one I made up that works well in FM2014 with a lone striker and a holding defensive midfielder with 2 wingers, I actually made up up based loosely on our formation we started the season with in real life.Come across one tactic called RoyalDaulton and i must say its superb. As for the game itself I've not made my mind up yet, its not to dissimilar from last year, the 3d engine in a bit smoother, and i can see the change in the AI especially in team talks etc but its pretty much the same. Still fun to play (when you're winning) As you state the 3d engine is a lot better but in the main its not a big difference at all from FM2013, except a bit more interation with board/press/players etc. Getting mixed results win some lose some but Ranger and DNG are beasts, Kasim...no so much who loses out on stats massively to Navarro and Cox. Mason has poor stats as does Tijane, Ajose and Byrne. Foders not too good either and massively inconsistant for me. Overall I think I will buy it but not until the price comes down a little, probably around xmas. look who I have signed Title: Re: Football Manager 2014 Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, November 4, 2013, 19:58:49 In my 6 month demo I have just sold Ranger to Wigan for £1.2mill, nice little earner and replaced him with an Algerian left winger called Salim Kerkar who is excellent and brought in Chris Hogg at CB both on frees, Jed loves me! top of the league after 5 games with 5 wins, beat Middlesborough in the 2nd round of the LC and have a plum away tie at Newcastle in round 3, also in round 2 of the JPT.
8 wins in 8 games so far using the adapted Royal Doulton tactic I also won 5 of my 7 pre season games with only one defeat early on in pre season. Title: Re: Football Manager 2014 Post by: Freddies Ferret on Monday, November 4, 2013, 20:00:44 yeah I sold ranger for 1.2mil and bought David Ball from Fleetwood who is brilliant

It's the same formation as the RoyalDoulton one, but my own tactics. That's in January and I've done little in the transfer market I sold Ranger for 1.5 mil straight away. I tweak with the midfielder's roles, but leave one as an advanced playmaker as they seem to do consistently well. Kasim, despite having poor stats, has performed better for me in the DM position that anyone else. Byrne is fucking pants. Harley is a whining little bitch because the precious little soul didn't like a team talk I gave a couple of months ago. He deserves a fucking slap but he's not playing badly and Luongo is injured. Hayes up front is Paul Hayes from Brentford, on loan for the season. His stats aren't great but I insisted on a target man up front and he's the best I could get. He's banged in 17 in 26 so he's not doing badly at all. Tijane is pants Pritchard is the dog's danglies. Title: Re: Football Manager 2014 Post by: DarloSTFC84 on Saturday, November 9, 2013, 01:29:02 I play as Salisbury....
Started a season with Town....can't seem to buy a win! First thing to contend with is Nile Ranger putting in a transfer request having only just signed! With Salisbury, 3rd in the conference, loaned Kayden Jackson and Branco...both of which seem to always be getting MOTM...playing Jackson as a lone striker...he bangs them in and gets his fair share of assists too! |
