Will King say something new during the post match interview. Will it be a vote of confidence on Tuesday if we lose 3:0. It's butterfly in the tummy time.

Sounds like we are geting after them quite nicely at the moment, if we score I think we could open the floodgates, but if not, worry about getting hit on the break. Anyway, happy thoughts and all that, sure we'll win ! Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: mrs_spacey on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 15:21:05 Roberts and Shakes on for Cureton and Summerbee

Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: genf_stfc on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 15:25:33 Nice one, pressure from roberts and shakes as soon as they came on - lead to a corner, which roberts took and o'hanlon headed in, although think it will be given as an own goal.

It is so much better than just a good result. I am absolutely ecstatic! First time we have ever beaten Forest. The season is very much back on track, 3 points from 3 very tough games is not too bad at all. King got everything spot on today too.
A great momemt in our history. :beers: :beers: :beers: :beers: :guinness: :guinness: :guinness: :guinness: :D :D :D :D :D :advercool: :advercool: :advercool: :advercool: Whalley was class and Collins did very well too. And city are now bottom without scoring a single goal so far this season after the huge amount they've spent.:Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: :ha: Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: Spud on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 16:40:01 It showed that when Shakes and Roberts came on we looked so much more dangerous going forward!, Shakes put a wicked ball across the box which lead to the corner from which we scored. Roberts also showed signs that he is back to his best, Fallon was very good even when he lost the ball he did everything he could to get it back. :beers:
Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: Onion_Jimbo on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 16:48:36 That right back was the worst player Ive ever seen. He annoyed me almost as much as Duke would have.
Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 16:50:41 I'm as happy as pig in shit.....been waiting near on 40 years to beat these, since going to Villa Park with 20,000 other Townies for a 5th round replay.

Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: Nomoreheroes on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 18:38:17 Pleased that we won, but put it in perspective. Before the season started I was reading stuff about how poor Forest were and that it was likely that they were going to be in a relegation battle again this year.
Much too early to say which teams are good and bad yet. Still, 3 points is 3 points. Would have liked to have been on 6 or 7pts at this stage though with an unbeaten home record intact. NMH Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: Leggett on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 18:40:46 3 points, and 4 goals scored, is better than 1 point, and no goals scored...

Indeed. What an improvement from Fallon. Collins though looked crap again. Great result though. Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 19:08:11 Also to put in perspective, Forest were just a few years ago arguably the best team in the world and they are a team we had never beaten before despite playing 17 times. To finally beat them is a great achievement, especially as they have a very expensive multi-million pound team and are considered to be one of the favourites for promotion.
I find a lot of people tend to be quite happy if we win and very disappointed and angry if we lose, whilst I'm extremely happy if we win but if we lose, I'm not devastated unless it's a pivotal game, we can't expect to win every game so I love it when we do win. Title: Swindon Vs Forest - Matchday Thread Post by: unclemark on Saturday, August 13, 2005, 20:03:38 The crowd was a bit disappointing, and I think that Shakes should definetely have started with Roberts partnering Fallon.
