Robinson claims both sides were lucky

Franchise manager Karl Robinson felt Lady Luck played for both sides on Saturday, as his side were denied a late winner by a linesman after being handed a man advantage when referee Stuart Attwell sent off Swindon Town winger Nathan Byrne.

I know an opposing manager has to put a positive spin on their team's performance, but I reckon he's kidding himself.

If we hadn't lost Byrne I don't reckon they would have equalised and probably would not have had the chance to score an offside goal near the end.

They were lucky to still be in the game at half time.

Apart from that he seems a decent enough bloke - but with teams that draw a lot of games you aren't quite sure if they are lucky to get a point (see Saturday) or unlucky not to get 3.

It's going to be open wide this season - and we'll be in and around it

I fucking hate Franchise but hes not too bad...

He says the Red Card was harsh....it was to the degree that 70% of refs would of handed out a yellow for the challenge being late.

He also ran out of his dug out when there was another challenge and Atwell ran over with his hand in his pocket for what i thought was a defo red.

Ref the offside goal ....Is not McClod interfering with play by standing in front of the Keeper?

I was confident that we might go and win the game until the sending off.

Overall a draw is about right.

A player in an offside position who prevents an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball is interfering with play and commits an offence.

Not sure how referees are supposed to interpret in practice but you are right, McLeod was a distraction to Fods and also, in my view, McLeod may have got in the way of a Kasim-style last gasp tackle by Hall on Bamford.

Do we have any refs on the forum?
