He's only angry because Stephen Hendry stole his limelight.

Steve 'interesting' Davis managing  interesting' Crewe. Good stuff.

In many ways Crewe's youth policy and style of football should be admired. But what it's the point of all you do is sit mid table year upon year.

To be fair there isn't anything I disagree with in the article.

We could sustain it, until the money man had had enough. At a guess about 90% of english clubs are spending beyond their means so we're hardly unique.

As with any club, if the main backer pulls out then you are in trouble.

He main argument is correct.  Clubs should live within his means.  But of the 92, STFC should probably be at about #50 on his hit list.  Laughable to single us out, even if we are his next opponents.  I'd be intrigued to hear his views on Man City, QPR and Wigan, to name a few.

PS  And I'd love to 'take a swipe' at Crewe about something, but I'd probably lose interest mid-swipe and forget why it was that I'd had those swipey thoughts.

Its all mind games. Think Davis might be knackered, he probably needs a rest.

True, there can't be too many "living well within their means" lower league selling clubs out there as boring as Crewe.

Thats not meant as a nasty comment just a general fact. Crewe never seem to do much other than finding the occassional talent that is snapped up for a fair fee early in their career. They rarely challenge for the top positions or have good cup runs, they are just "bog average".

Less of a swipe and more of stating the obvious....

You could read those quotes as "taking a swipe" or as "describing what happened".

There are far harsher posts on here about the last two years.

Either the worst attempt at mindgames since Kevin Keegan suffered a bout of verbal diarrhoea on live television or the Adver needed to fill a few column inches

Fuck me Crewe fans must be bored stiff with the last 100 years of nothingness.

Yes the Town have overspent..but we have had more great moments in the last 30 years than Crewe have ever had....or ever will.

He has a go at us, but Bornmuff are spending more that we did...and it's all on borrowed money at 6% pa interest.

But he's not playing Bournemouth tomorrow.
