Title: Facial hair Post by: 4D on Monday, August 12, 2013, 21:43:51 Over the last four years I've sported a beard. From a full facial for about a year to a 'three musketeer' type goatee. I kept the goatee clipped to a 3-4 mm effort. I decided to shave it off in early July whilst on holiday. When I came back, not a word from anyone ??? . Nobody noticed :)
Anyone a beardface at the moment? Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: SuggWillSugg MBE on Monday, August 12, 2013, 21:48:20 I look around 12 years old without some form of facial hair.
I'm currently sporting around a weeks worth. Can't go wrong with a wonderful beard. Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Honkytonk on Monday, August 12, 2013, 21:54:58 I have had sideburns for about 6 years, and have now (due to laziness as well as other factors) decided to sport a chinstrap. I keep it for about two weeks, shave it all off, then start again.
It could well be that they've just drawn the beard in mentally- my Dad always had a moustache until about eight years ago, then shaved it off and hasn't gone back. For about two or three years I didn't notice. I had got so used to seeing him with one my head just kind of 'drew it in'... Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: 4D on Monday, August 12, 2013, 22:16:20 When I had the full beard some woman in a supermarket car park did a double take and said "I thought you were Russell Crowe". Yeah, shopping in Calne :D
Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: DV on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 05:57:14 I once grew my beard for 4 months.
I also tried Wolverine sideburns for a few days. I've always wanted to have sideburns like The Rock circa 98/99 but my facial hair doesn't grow right for them. As most will remember I also had the long hair beard Jesus combo going for a bit. Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Abrahammer on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 07:52:40 Only used to be clean shaven for work as i used to think a bit of stubble gave the impression to some of being scruffy.
Now people dont really give a shit i havent been clean shaven for about 5 years and cant see that changing for a while. Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Flashheart on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 07:59:46 It's just too uncomfortable in this climate.

All you needed was a begging bowl and a dog to finish it off! ;D Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 10:40:29 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-23678581

Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Batch on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 12:51:07 Lumberjacks have beards.
Lumberjacks are manly. Therefore you are manly, and should become a lumberjack. Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Tails on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 13:04:23 I'm sporting a full beard. My mrs wouldn't have it any other way, apparently it's 'manly.' You have an impressive beard. I look up to it. I normally sport some sort of facial hair these days. I'm like Mr. Sugg, I look like a 14 year old without it and chicks dig the fuzz. Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Forza_Swindon on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 13:29:19 I'm sporting a full beard. You get through the itchy stage arriba, after a week to ten days Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: mystical_goat on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 21:23:14 I got bored shaving today. Began trimming and ended up chopping it all off so I don't have to do it again for a couple of weeks. Though I do now look like a boy.
Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Ironside on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 22:18:11 I've sported some kind of clunge sponge for about 10 years and have no intention of changing.
Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 13:25:12 You get through the itchy stage arriba, after a week to ten days I have no intention of finding out. I'm bald so the upside down head look isn't a good one. Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: 4D on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 13:27:07 Didn't Alan Cork sport a big beard whilst playing for Sheff Utd? :sherlock:

I think that photo is from the FA Cup semi final at Wembley. I remember my mum questioning who the old man was and that "he looks older than your Dad". I think Cork was only mid-30s at the time too Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 14:33:27 He holds the record for first team appearances and first team goals at Wimbledon FC, and is also the only player to have scored in all four divisions of the pre-1992 Football League and also the Premier League.
He is the father of Southampton F.C. player Jack Cork. Title: Re: Facial hair Post by: Bert Heads head on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 15:03:47 My first beard began the day after I nicked myself on the neck in various places, and then went on to draw blood on my chin, an ear lobe and finally, on the tip of my nose. I thought that maybe my hand/eye co-ordination was not what it ought to be, That was some time in 1974. When the beard was in its ZZ-top stage, I could keep pencils, unlit cigarettes and even my fountain pen in it without them falling out.
In the summer of 1984, back in England for a while, I decided to have it shaved off one hot June day in a barbers in Chard. However, as I felt (facially) cold for the next four weeks, I threw away my razor and began beard nš 2, which I still have. |
