Title: Feedback Wanted.
Post by: leefer on Sunday, June 30, 2013, 11:25:47
Well i am just hoping for a little feedback on a little project i am embarking on at present.

Being proud of Swindon i have always been interested in the people of Swindon....people that have or will make the Town tick.

These are famous people....important people...people who contribute to fine things in the town but go largely unnoticed in there work or pleasure.

I am doing a ten question interview with 50 Swindon People....thats not to say they were born in the town but are closely associated with Swindon now and in the past.

It is a fun interview but with some seriousness thrown in when needed....my question to you all is whether you on the Forum would mind me using it to show the answers......it will be one a week for 50 weeks.

I can confirm that  i have a varied amount of people that have agreed to the format....somewhat suprising to me as they have been told that the TEF would be used as its viewing point :D

On thinking about it i dont want to get up anyones nose on the forum....and some of these people my not be flavour of the month to some...so a little feedback would be great you.

If given the nod by you all my first Swindon People interview will be ready this week sometime....and remember i am no Whizz with presenting etc but rest assured the answers given will be EXACTLY how they are given to me.

The questions i asked have varied on who it is obviously......though the last question is the same to all.

Some of you may think Why?.......well all the interviewees will be asked on there views on football and Swindon FC a little...so that alone could be worth a look and a debate.

Anyway as i say any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

So you want to interview people and then publish it on here? I don't see why not, it's an open forum and if people don't want to read it then they don't have to.

Unless I've missed the point completely :)

Correct Sie.

Just being polite because its a personal thing i have wanted to do....and am using the Forum to show it.
The people i have interviewed so far are fairly exited at the prospect of it being on the TEF though some anticapate a bit of banter or stick.

As i say just testing he water on peoples thoughts.

Would be interesting to read, but might be worth putting it on Blogspot or something to make it more widely accessible and cross post them here.

Just a word about your strapline...I know they claim a history that goes back to 1893, but we all know they didn't exist prior to c. 1960.  Get it right!   :D

Go for it. You'll get the real feedback after the first few interviews have been read. Or not.

I hope the 50 includes Phil, the Town fan who rabbits on to anyone as if he knows you very well and that other Town stalwart, the very tall old guy who is obsessive with reading every newspaper back page and who is often seen walking near the County Ground foraging in bins for papers (true story).

And please include Dossy as your marque interviewee

Is Phil the really loud guy with a very strong Westcountry accent?

If you haven't been stuck at some point in a conversation against your will with Phil the Mouth you're not a true town fan.

I'm pretty sure I had the pleasure of sitting opposite the paper guy on a train back from London after drawing 1-1 with W ham. I think he was a porter at PMH - a little eccentric but harmless.

HA! The guy is a really annoying Town fixture and fitting that will be missed greatly when he goes. Like the family dog's farts. It's great watching him hook some poor soul with no prior knowledge and the ensuing terrified look in their eyes as they realise there is no polite escape.

I remember at the Yeovil away game last season I saw him sat in the Away Family section. There was a near perfect halo of empty chairs around him.

Think you're referring to Richard there...who's been collecting autographs at the Players Entrance for the last 50 years...he's been prohibited next season  :(

When queuing for hours for Pox away tickets was the worst time. You couldn't get away.

DON'T MAKE EYE CONTACT

You always remember your first Phil experience.

Got stuck with him at Roots Hall, ever since I've made a concerted effort to not get anyway near him.

Anything to interrupt the flow of conversation = bliss.
