Todays topic: who was SAM Moorshead having a pop @?

That basically stemmed from a debate arriba & I had that spawned a new thread.

It is certainly pointed at certain members of the TEF.

"In The Know" ?  mmmmm who could that be?

Mr Moreshead is a bit of a yellow colour in his picture isnt he?

He's missed out Lurkers and People who don't really care about football that much anymore, but like to keep up with what's going on.

He's a journalist, FFS.

There are a few like Dalumpimunki, Flasheart, Dr Pierre, Reg who have certain recurrent traits and styles I generally expect to reappear in most of their posts, though I'm not sure any fit neatly into the descriptions provided.

Most of us just vacillate between positivity and negativity, depending on the prevailing outlook, and as such, are largely uncategorisably bland.

And then there is Dostoyevsky.

I thought this was going to be a joke. But no, he's actually written an article about an Internet forum.

I truly despair.

Haha, I thought it was funny, and obviously aimed at posters on here, a good way of replying to any remarks that have been aimed at him, Fair play to Sam, it's not like he can post what he really wants to say on the forum.

I thought it was good.  Slightly disappointed that he used the more diplomatic term of 'Moaner' than the commonly used one on here of 'Doom Monger'.  I've come to the conclusion that I probably sit between Moaner and Cynic, although the second one concerns me as I'm not yet 40 and don't drink whiskey  :)

 The townend.com has always provided the adver with stuff. Should be taken as a compliment.
I'm none of the catagories though as they are a myth ;)

Yep...bit of fun article to fill the Adver...which incidently is going up 20p soon.
In fairness they will be packing a bit more into it....but i reckon people may decide that an extra £5 a month is to much.

Can't deny we pick up on stuff of relevance posted on here. Should be taken as a compliment, although I can honestly say I didn't see the posts about forum cliques so apologies if it appears I've ripped off an idea. I came up with it all by myself - rare as that might seem.

I strongly expect I lead a more interesting existence than a angry old divorcee

I don't associate myself with any of the categories. I'm off the grid, off the radar and have firmly slipped beneath the forum cracks.

DMR is one of the originals...it might make it sound cliquey, but this place wouldn't be here now for better or worse without that input...while I'm at it, let's not overlook the effort of the mods and in no particular order...Dazzza, Bazzza and Whits. :notworthy:

That was the legendary spoof Kingston Robin (KR). Probably the best and most successful STFC related troll ever. Not seen his alter ego around these part for a while, wonder if he's working on a new 'project' :hmmm:

Other oldschool MOS on here include Ardiles, Sleepingminnow (Reg) and petswinprizes. But who were Leroy and Riddle?

Just googled myonlyswindon and it seems Lerot (sp) and the Riddler are still hanging out over on MOS talking to each other once every couple of months :clap:

What about gerry stilton he came out with some funny stuff like about taking his wife to rovers away and sitting behind the goal then complaining when everyone was stood up infront of him. But rather than standing he spent the whole game trying (without much luck) to get the rest of the stand to sit. Someone said he was a retired policeman so that kind of fits  :hmmm:

Kingston robin soapy tit wank. Townfish was a funny one as well. In fact there are a fair few special town fans out there. I remember Charlie Brown on the fanny forum and the other nutter Gary fletcher fanny stretcher.

I think KR was simply misunderstood on myonlyswindon.com.  He's a nice chap, still goes to lots of games...and I'm pretty sure 100% genuine in what he posted.  Trolling not his style.  Passionate/heart on sleeve, certainly.  But not on a wind up by any means.

And that could apply to a lot of posters....DMR  for example comes across as being on a wind up mission most of the time....i have come to realise he probably isn't and it is just his manner,we are all different.
