All it says to me is:

 - He didn't expect to come back from Birmingham but understood that their financial position made that difficult
 - He didn't know what the future might be for him, whether it would be at Swindon or not - which considering the way the club have been working this closed season is hardly fucking surprising

Yes it's clear he'd rather be playing championship football with Birmingham but can you fucking blame him.

That hardly means he's got a shit attitude does it. DiCanio's opinion on the matter hardly counts for much; there's quite a list of players that PDC thought had "an attitude problem" and bounced out of the club, the vast majority of which, including Caddis, seem to have been well regarded at their new clubs.

Ummmm. I didn't say or imply anything about his attitude and nor did Sippo (I don't think). The doctor's point was in jest.

He's seen the team he captained to win League 2 dismantled both by PDC and Jed so no wonder he's questioning his future. If Birmingham really want him then stump a fair share of the money from Curtis Davies. His mates McCormack, Ferry and Benson have either gone or probably will soon and I'm sure he won't be far behind.

Much as I generally disagree with the lumpy one, in this case Birmingham are quite fucked right now - Carson Yeung's trial is ongoing in HK and until its over or until he sells they are struggling for cash.

Sounds a bit like 'I never fancied you anyway' after a snub by a girl you quite liked.  We're going to need players like Ward next season to provide a core and some balance with the youth that KM will be bringing in.  No point in getting offended when players suggest that there are other options out there.  They're not fans like we are, and have their careers to think of.

Caddis should take a look at Fods.....now here is a player after Preston away who could have dropped tools and left us in the shit....but no he got on with winning the LGE 1 keeper of the year and signing an extension on his contract.
After the humiliation Paolo gave him i applaud him big time.

Now i think Caddis is a decent player but his attitude last year was shocking...and his interview in The Adver tells me his heart isn't here.

His attitude according to PDC was shocking.... as was Wes 'absolutely the worst professional ever' Foderingham and Alan 'Doctors note' McCormack. I think it's fair to say nearly every player fell foul of PDC's unique management style at some point, some came to light I'm sure plenty didn't. Caddis was a league winning captain that got shipped out, of course he wasn't going to be singing the clubs/PDC's praises shortly after leaving.

It's old ground now but I don't get the vitriol of some towards him.....He'll move on we'll move on...

In his shoes, I'd probably be saying the same.  He's 25, and he can do better than Swindon next season.  He knows it.  We know it.  Much as I would love him to dig in and have a second stint with us, I really don't expect it.  That article was a simple 'come & get me' to the 23 Championship clubs who aren't Birmingham.

To be fair to you...many agree with your view on him.....as i say good player but his heart isn't here anymore.

As for Ward i can't agree with Tans.....he came through a sticky patch last year and was a good player...unlike Caddis he didn't want to leave....the club want rid because of his wages.

Let's be honest, effort isn't enough.  Attitude is critical and having a head-down professional but unsettled Caddis about won't be helpful.  He was our championship winning captain and has a special place here but times have changed on both sides.

Every manager wants the right attitude in their squad and when they don't get it the end is usually nigh.  How a manager achieves the right attitude in a squad - or fails - is different.  PDC tolerated a casualty rate to achieve a good attitude in the squad as a whole.  Wilson lost Greer and then tolerated a bad attitude spreading from his captain Douglas like Japanese Knotweed. 

KMac needs a standout captain for our squad and an unsettled ex-captain won't help.

Caddis should probably be sold off ASAP but I'm more than sure football is littered with many examples of unsettled players who have more than adequately 'got on with it' until their exits are completed.

Caddis and his agent have been whoring themselves out to different clubs since the start of last summer.

Make him train with the youth team this year like Chelsea did with Malouda.

How many other players were moved on by Di Canio because of their attitude as opposed to not being required and/or not being good enough?

People like Risser, Smith, Connell were moved on for footballing reasons.

He never said as much but I found it fishy that Benson was deemed not good enough after sticking up for Caddis in the press.

Cox is the one that still baffles me, I don't think I've ever actually seen him play, let alone would recognise him in the street. Yet we played a fee for him, and he seems to be generally well thought of at the clubs he's gone on loan to.

I know we lost but I thought he was excellent at Oxford away. He never let his head drop and was always looking for the ball and completing his passes.

McCormack was about to be stripped of the captaincy before he left and probably wouldnt have featured again for us.

Its the biggest thing that pissed me off about PDC, there was no compromise - you don't agree you are out. BUT whilst it can't be an affordable approach it may be the reason we were successful.

In any case I have my doubts it was sustainable even with a bottomless pit of money. You can only flog a horse for so long before it kicks you.

Annoys me that Billy Bodin was now shipped out when he's probably Kmac's sort of player.
Although he's hardly lit up league 2 since the move.

Bodin was hardly shipped out. Di Canio said he wouldn't be starting every week, Billy wanted to start every week, therefore he got the move.

Well, Kerrouche and Esajas are certainly well regarded at their new clubs....

I saw him play at Hereford, he was a bit rusty but he looked strong and certainly could pick a pass.
