Title: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Chubbs on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:07:29 IM taking the wife to Bicester village (for my sins) and was wondering if there's anywhere decent to eat. We were going to eat at Jamies but have found out its not actually a restaurant. I see here is a carrlucio's there too, anyone been? what's that like?

Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Saxondale on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:18:44 Carluccios is good. Probably my favourite of the chain italian restaurants. I recommend the spaghetti vongole.
Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Sippo on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:21:02 Eat at either the garden centre nearby or the pub the premier inn. Less rushed. Avoid the pub by the roundabout opposite tesco's.

You haven't been to Bicester Villiage then I'm guessing? In saying that there is a BK just by the Tesco roundabout, the garden centre is decent for cheap(ish) freshly cooked meal. Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Chubbs on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:35:27 Its the wife's birthday, so I don't think a BK will cut it this time. Looks like it will be carluccio's.
Cheers guys Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Pete on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:38:22 child killing shopping arcade That was fairly shocking. HSE will be all over that place for a while yet. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/06/08/bicester-shopping-death-hugo-boss-boy-dies-_n_3408269.html Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Sippo on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:42:52 Its the wife's birthday, so I don't think a BK will cut it this time. Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Arriba on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:55:18 Come back towards Swindon after shopping and have a nice meal by the river either at the rose revived near Witney or the swan at Radcot. Much nicer
Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: LucienSanchez on Monday, June 17, 2013, 13:59:10 Rose Revived is very nice

Brewer's Fayre, and agree about the one by Tesco's.Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: mystical_goat on Monday, June 17, 2013, 17:59:51 That Hungry Horse place is rank. You're right about Jamie's; it's just a cabin thing with some tables out in front of it. Carluccio's is always good and reasonably priced, their set menu deals are cheap but have small portions (so get three courses if you go down that route!). I've not tried the Thai place up the other end, or the place in the middle - though they all look good.
Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Reg Smeeton on Monday, June 17, 2013, 18:12:50 What is Bicester village? Here's my studied opinion...from a post in Jan 2012. Quote Got dragged by a bird to the outlet village at Bicester just before Christmas...see above post....sometimes these things just can't be avoided. What a fucking O*fordshire shit hole that place is...full of cunts who think they're a cut above and Nips. What really amazed me though was there was a fucking great queue for the Ugg shop....I thought it was the chav label par excellence. Title: Re: Eating at Bicester Village Post by: Family at War on Monday, June 17, 2013, 18:27:38 That Hungry Horse is busy and chaotic. My Daughter's husband is from Bicester and they were there a couple of weeks ago - so busy they forgot to charge them!
